'We don't want to be used to it. If you play Game 7s throughout the whole playoffs, it is going to be pretty tough on your body. Whatever. We're in this situation. Before the series if we were asked, 'Would you want to go to Game 7 against Chicago?' and be put in that spot, a one-game thing, I think we would take it.'<br/><br />It'll be the third Game 7 of the post-season for the Kings, who dropped the first three games in the opening round against San Jose and then went the distance with Anaheim. They blew a 3-1 series lead to Chicago, and now, it comes down to this.<br/><br />The winner hosts the New York Rangers in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals on Wednesday night.<br/><br />While the Kings tried to put aside their frustration after missing out on two opportunities to clinch the series, the Blackhawks were breathing a little easier after taking Game 6.<br/><br />'It's nice to see that resilience not only in this game but in this series so far,' captain Jonathan Toews said. 'We're giving ourselves a heck of a chance going home for Game 7.'<br/><br />The Blackhawks were just about out of it after dropping Game 4. Back-to-back losses in Los Angeles left them in a 3-1 hole and on the brink of elimination after knocking out the Kings in the conference finals last year on the way to the championship.<br/><br />Instead, they jumped back into it with two thrilling victories.<br/><br />There was that epic double-overtime victory in Game 5 at home with Michal Handzus scoring the winner, and Game 6 Friday was about as tense. The Blackhawks survived thanks to a late surge by Patrick Kane after the teams traded leads in the third period.<br/><br />Chicago led 2-1 after Kane and Ben Smith scored in the second. But there were two big swings in the third.<br/><br />The Kings looked like they were on their way up 3-2 after Drew Doughty beat a screened Corey Crawford with a wrist shot for his third goal in four games to tie it and fed Alec Martinez for a score.<br/><br />Kane, whose career has been defined by big plays at the biggest moments, wouldn't let the Blackhawks fade. He set up Duncan Keith for the tying goal with 8:26 left and fired in the winner from a patch of ice near the painted Stanley Cup logo with 3:45 left.<br/><br />So the series comes down to a Game 7, the third of the post-season for the Kings, who are 6-0 in elimination games this year. The Blackhawks have won nine of their past 11 elimination games.<br/><br />'We know that we can still beat this Chicago Blackhawks team,' Doughty said. 'But we also know it's not going to be easy either. They're going to have their best game in this Game 7, especially in their home rink.'<br/><br />It would help if they contained Kane.<br/><br />He has come up big in the past two games with seven points after being held to just one in the first four games. He had two goals and an assist Friday and four assists in Game 5, compared to just one assist through the first four games.<br/><br />He's been able to find at least some open ice, something he wasn't able to do earlier in the series, and the Blackhawks are feeding off that.<br/><br />'There's still not much room out there in this series,' Kane said. 'Right now you have to take advantage of your opportunities when you do get space. Playing with two hard workers that work really hard to get the puck back, have made my life a lot better as far as getting the puck in good areas where I can make plays. <div xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'><img height="300" src="http://cdn0.sbnation.com/features/2014-nhl-playoff-bracket/nhl-banner-snippet.jpg" width="100%"/><br/><br />Before you hand the Stanley Cup over to the Western Conference champion, just remember that the New York Rangers have Henrik Lundqvist and nobody else does.<br/><br /><br/><br />For most of the season it's seemed that no matter which team came out of the Eastern Conference, they were going to be nothing more than a sacrificial lamb in the Stanley Cup Final against whatever powerhouse team came out of the Western Conference.<br/><br />This was probably going to be the case if it was Boston or Pittsburgh coming out of the East, and it seems that it's especially going to be true now that we know it's the New York Rangers, the NHL's No. 12 team during the regular season in total points and the fifth place team in the Eastern Conference.<br/><br />But let's not be so quick to dismiss the Rangers in this series. They're a team that's quietly been lurking in the shadows of the for most of the season without any of the fanfare that typically went to Boston or Pittsburgh, who were considered the only elite-level teams in the conference. There are even some parallels between these Rangers and the 2012 Kings, another lower seeded team that was probably better than its regular season record might have indicated that went on to win a Stanley Cup.<br/><br />They finished the regular season ranked sixth in FenClose (unblocked shot differential in close-score situations) team in the NHL, and that is an important area for a Stanley Cup contender to excel. The Kings, for example, were fourth in 2012 despite being the No. 8 seed in the West.<br/><br />After a terrible 3-9-0 start to the regular season that included a miserable nine-game road trip (and perhaps an adjustment period to a new coach), the Rangers have played at a 104-point-pace in the 91 games (regular season and postseason) that followed.<br/><br />They may not be the team that anybody really expected to come out of the East, but they could prove to be a worthy opponent in the Final and maybe even find a way to pull this off. Any line can score<br/><br />The best part about the Ryan Callahan for Martin. St. Louis swap at the trade deadline was that it was the right deal at the right time for the Rangers. It gave an already solid team a legitimate top-line winger in a year where the conference was wide open and absolutely there for the taking. The only legitimate threats in the East seemed to be Boston or Pittsburgh, both flawed teams in their own ways, and the addition of St. Louis was a huge one for a team that needed that little extra push offensively. The Eastern Champs The Eastern Champs<br/><br />The trade itself hasn't always worked out as planned for the Rangers from a points perspective (St. Louis has just 21 points in 40 games since the trade) but it's still given the Rangers three or four lines that can score and beat you on any given night. And after a slow start, St. Louis has started to pick it up for the Rangers as the playoffs have progressed.<br/><br />While they may not have that one go-to guy that carries them offensively, their scoring and ice time is pretty evenly distributed throughout the lineup. It's because of that depth that they're able to survive when their top guys hit a stretch of games where the puck isn't going in for them. They went through a 10-game stretch where St. Louis and Rick Nash, their two most talented and highest profile forwards, combined to score zero goals. And they were still able to reach the Final because their secondary players were good enough to pick up the slack, whether it was the Mats Zuccarello, Derick Brassard and Benoit Pouliot line, or the fourth line that came through in Game 6 on Thursday.<br/><br />This is where teams like Pittsburgh and others in the Eastern Conference failed during the playoffs.<br/><br />As they've gone deeper in the postseason, the big guys, Nash and St. Louis specifically, have started to chip in more offensively.<br/><br />St. Louis has seven points in his past eight games after going 10 games where he recorded just a single assist, while Nash, who has been much better than his point total throughout the postseason, has scored in three of his past six games after going 15 games without a goal.<br/><br />That depth also extends to the blue line. Deep on D, too<br/><br />Ryan McDonagh and Dan Girardi gets all of the headlines on the Rangers' defense, and it's usually well deserved, especially in the case of McDonagh, who is not only playing his usual shutdown minutes but has also added some offense to his game this season. After scoring 14 goals during the regular season he's tied for the team lead in scoring through the first three rounds of the playoffs.<br/><br />But the real X-factor on New York's defense has been the play of veteran defenseman Anton Stralman, as he continues to make a great deal of money for himself this summer in free agency with his play during the postseason. He's not only been asked to start more of his shifts in the defensive zone than any other defensemen on the team, but the Rangers have still managed to come out ahead in the possession game with him on the ice and own a 12-6 advantage on the scoreboard.<br/><br />Still, when it comes down what will make or break the Rangers' chances we can talk about the forwards and defensemen all we want, but the last reason they shouldn't be counted out in the Final is perhaps the biggest. They have Henrik Lundqvist and nobody else does<br/><br />Jonathan Quick and Corey Crawford may have their names on the Stanley Cup, but the Rangers still have arguably the best goalie in the NHL, and sometimes in a best-of-seven series that can be all you need, especially when that goalie is playing as well as Lundqvist is right now.<br/><br />He has been sensational this postseason, winning a pair of Game 7s (including one on the road), recording a shut out in the Eastern Conference clinching game and has allowed two goals or less in 15 of his 20 postseason starts.<br/><br />If there is one player in these playoffs that can single-handedly wreck the Stanley Cup dominance the Western Conference has had the past eight years Lundqvist could be it, and with the way he's been playing over the past two months he may not be one to bet against.<br/><br />Post By http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/2014/5/30/5764576/new-york-rangers-analysis-stanley-cup-playoffs-2014</div>

So the New York Rangers are pretty popular at this point in time in their city. Twenty years is a long time, just don't tell that to Toronto, or St. Louis, or Philadelphia, or we'll stop there. Even if it hasn't been as long as some, it's been long enough, so naturally fans are clamoring for a chance to see their team play for the big silver cup.<br/><br />So yes, the tickets for the Rangers' Stanley Cup Final appearance are going to be hot items, regardless if they play the Chicago Blackhawks or Los Angeles Kings. But it might be even hotter than you imagine. The tickets haven't even gone on sale yet, but early pricing for the secondary market is already looking pretty steep.<br/><br />Travis Hughes over at SBNation already did some digging on StubHub, and these prices will make your wallet hurt just looking at them:<br/><br />For Game 3 on June 9, secondary market listings on StubHub start at $1,143.30 for a 400 level seat behind the goal. You'll pay at least double that price, probably triple or more, if you want to sit in the lower level. Prices for Game 3 top out on StubHub at $21,003 for a seat in section 214. That's the price for one (1) ticket.<br/><br />Prices are pretty similar for Game 4 on June 11, starting at $1,147.01 and topping out at $26,253 for a seat in the Platinum Club, right behind the net the Rangers defend twice, basically at ice level.<br/><br />According to Hughes, there are 94 listings on the site for tickets priced at $10,000 or more for Game 6, which would be a potential Cup clinching game. That Platimum Club ticket would be nearly $30,000 as well. Insanity.<br/><br />According to Jesse Lawrence of Forbes, this Cup Final ticket market is reaching near-Super Bowl levels. And ticket market website TiqIQ is saying the prices for MSG Stanley Cup tickets are going to be the most expensive in five years.<br/><br />From Forbes:<br/><br />With a 2-2-1-1-1 playoff format, Games 3, 4 and 6 will be held at Madison Square Garden. The average price for each of those games on the secondary market is currently above $2,000 and rises for each game. Game 3 has an average price of $2,202.72, Game 4 has an average of $2,419.57 and Game 6 is the most expensive with an average of $2,737.35, which is a game that would only occur if necessary. Overall, the series has an average price of $2,439.85, which is easily the most expensive for any team in the past five years of the Stanley Cup Finals. The only team that has previously exceeded a $2,000 series average is the Vancouver Canucks, with an average price of $2,055.83 in their series with the Boston Bruins in 2011.<br/><br />At its current price, a Game 6 at Madison Square Garden would be more expensive than the final prices of the most recent Super Bowl. This year's Super Bowl between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ had an average ticket price of $2,567 and a get-in price of $1,514 on the day of the game.<br/><br />Lawrence also reports that even the cheapest tickets will sell for near $1,000. The Stanley Cup is apparently really good for business. It's probably not the best for the blue-collar fans that want to witness the game live as much as the next person.<br/><br />These prices are obviously going to freeze out a lot of folks, but to see this level of interest in hockey in New York is incredibly encouraging for the Rangers and the NHL as a whole. He allowed three goals in his only loss of the series, but two of those beat him only after taking odd bounces off bodies in front of his net.<br/><br />Lundqvist had the best save-percentage in the playoffs on Monday. He had allowed three goals in only four of 18 games - stingier than Los Angeles Kings starter Jonathan Quick (eight times in 17 games) and Chicago Blackhawks starter Corey Crawford (seven in 15) heading into their meeting Monday night.<br/><br />Given the hook midway through the previous game of the Eastern Conference final, the US$100-million-plus Rangers goalie had been doing a lot of soul-searching.<br/><br />'You have so many highs. You have a few lows where you're questioning a lot of things, but then you just have to make up your mind,' Lundqvist said after Thursday's 1-0 series-clinching win over Montreal. 'You can't have any excuses. You just have to go out there.<br/><br />'I kept telling myself all day, believe in what you're doing. I've been in that spot before. It gets silly, you get pulled. You have a tough game, but you just have to stay confident.'<br/><br />The mental review concluded, Lundqvist returned to world-class form.<br/><br />In dispatching the Canadiens to win the series four games to two, Lundqvist only had to deal with 18 shots. There were stretches of inactivity for the stylish Swede but he had to be razor sharp on a couple of occasions.<br/><br />Lundqvist, in 20 playoff games this season, leads the NHL with a .928 save percentage and ranks second with a 2.03 goals-against average.<br/><br />New York will need more of the same in the Stanley Cup final.<br/><br />'He was totally focused,' Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said of his goalie. 'He was probably a little upset tonight coming into the game. I don't know if it was because of the opportunity or if he was upset with the way it ended in Montreal in Game 5.<br/><br />'But he was definitely focused, and those are not easy games to play. I mean, there is not a lot of work, but you've got to stay sharp. He stayed really sharp.'<br/><br />The biggest save came in the second period off Thomas Vanek. It was an amazing circus-like save with his arm and then blocker as Lundqvist, who lost his stick in the process, corkscrewed his body to stop the close-range shot that deflected off a diving defenceman.<br/><br />Asked what he thought of the play, Vigneault replied: 'Same thing you did. Wow.'<br/><br />The Rangers scored soon after to book a ticket to their first Cup final in 20 years.<br/><br />When the final whistle blew, the normally ice-cool Lundqvist threw his arms up in the air and pumped them in celebration, before being mobbed by his teammates as New York celebrated its 11th trip to the final.<br/><br />The Rangers will open the championship series next Wednesday in either Chicago or Los Angeles.<br/><br />'It's going to be a great challenge,' said Lundqvist before knowing the identity of his opponent. 'We're going to play against a really good team. It's about, for us, in the room to remind each other that this is such a special moment that you have to grab it. You have to make sure you're ready and play your absolute best.<br/><br />'You're not going to get that many opportunities. I've been here for nine years. This is my first final, and now it's all about preparing the right way and try to leave it all out there.'<br/><br />In front of Lundqvist, the Rangers can roll four lines. Vigneault started the fourth line of Dominic Moore, Brian Boyle and Derek Dorsett against the Habs in Game 6 and they responded with the lone goal on the night.<br/><br />The goal came through nose-to-the-grindstone resolve as the Rangers outworked a tired Montreal quintet to keep the puck in the Habs' end. Left alone behind the goal, Boyle sent a perfect pass through defenceman Francis Bouillon and Moore snapped a shot past Dustin Tokarski on the stick side.<br/><br />The Rangers rely on goaltending and penalty killing to limit the opposition offence. It's a recipe that worked well against Montreal, other than Game 5 when Lundqvist was pulled after giving up four goals on 19 shots.<br/><br />New York also has speed in the form of Carl Hagelin, Mats Zuccarello and others. There are Cup winners in Brad Richards and Martin St. Louis. And first-class defencemen in Ryan McDonagh and Dan Girardi.<br/><br />There is character galore. Moore and St. Louis have had to endure personal tragedies in recent time, but found refuge at the rink, according to Vigneault.<br/><br />The team is well-drilled and does the little things well, although there was a tendency to take poor penalties against Montreal.<br/><br />Behind the bench, Vigneault is a calming presence.<br/><br />In a year that saw the Rangers wobble out of the starting gate, forced to play on the road for most of October due to Madison Square Garden renovations, Vigneault kept the train on the tracks while changing the team culture.<br/><br />Lundqvist also endured a rocky start, going 8-11 with a 2.51 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage in his first 20 games.<br/><br />'We did change a lot of things going into the season. I think it was a time where we had to find ourselves a little bit as a group,' the goalie said. 'But personally, I think it was my toughest start in my career, my 12, 13 years as a pro, if I combine the Sweden years.<br/><br />'So it's definitely a tough test. But it feels better when you turn it around and good things start to happen. It's been a great ride so far, especially the second half of the season. It's been a lot of fun to be around the guys, that's for sure.'<br/><br />Lundqvist, in the final year of a six-year, US$41.25 million deal, signed a seven-year contract extension worth US$59.5 million that will make him the NHL's highest-paid goalie.<br/><br />The win that moved the Rangers into the final came a year to the day that New York fired fiery coach John Tortorella, who is worlds apart from Vigneault.<br/><br />'I personally just like how calm he is,' Lundqvist said of Vigneault. 'Obviously, he changed a lot the way we play, so it was a big change early on in training camp and the first couple months for us to adjust and for me to adjust. It was a little different game. But he was very patient and calm and understood the process for us to get there. It's going to take a while to get there.<br/><br />'But obviously having Tortorella for almost five years and having that coaching style and then A.V. comes in, they're opposites. As a player, you learn from both, and I enjoy both. But it's refreshing when you see a new coaching style that you haven't had before and the way he handles pressure situations. ... He's pretty consistent with the way he talks to us good or bad.'<br/><br />Vigneault is the picture of calm, although he is no automaton.<br/><br />'Yeah, he gets worked up. He's a human being, and he's a coach,' said Richards. 'Coaches have to do things sometimes to get things going. But his worked up is different than other people's worked up. Different from my worked up and your worked up, everybody has different ways of showing it.<br/><br />'I think you've just got to be around it and be behind closed doors, and you'll know when he wants a little more of a practice or a little more preparation or whatever he's doing. That the U.S. economy shrank in the first quarter of the year is the disturbing backdrop for this stunning surge in asset prices-call it the basketball bubble.<br/><br />Forbes first reported early on Thursday that former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer had submitted a $1.8 billion bid for the Los Angeles Clippers and that the team could go for $2 billion before all was said and done. By the end of the day Thursday, The Los Angeles Times had reported that Ballmer had submitted a winning $2 billion bid for the Clippers.<br/><br />A $2 billion sale of the Clippers would be a record sale price for a basketball team. To get a sense of how far out of left field such price tag is, Forbes valued the Clippers at $575 million in January. Just three years ago, the big market Philadelphia 76ers, which like the Clippers are merely a tenant in the building in which they play basketball, sold for 2.5 times revenue. My Forbes colleague, Kurt Badenhausen, who knows more about basketball economics that just about anyone, has come up with 10 reasons why in 2014 the Clippers would fetch 15 times revenue. Those reasons range from new TV deals to a collective bargaining agreement that is more favorable to owners. There is also the issue of supply and demand. There may be only one chance in a lifetime to buy a basketball team in a city like Los Angeles, but there are also now a number of people willing today to pay more than $1 billion for it.<br/><br />In the aftermath of the Clippers deal, here are two questions worth thinking about: Is Apollo Global Management co-founder Josh Harris, who in 2011 led the investment group that bought the Philadelphia 76ers for $287 million, one of the shrewdest investors of the post financial crisis era? What price would the Los Angeles Lakers sell for in the spring of 2014?<br/><br />It is really quite remarkable that the sale of one of the saddest and least successful franchises in basketball could epitomize what is going on in the nation, from the enormous popularity of professional sports to race relations. But let's look for a moment about the issue that helped fuel the $2 billion price tag-the nature of the explosion of concentrated wealth in America.<br/><br />One of the other main bids for the Clippers reportedly came from Tony Ressler and Bruce Karsh, who established what turned out to be a bidding floor and were ready to pay $1.2 billion. Like Harris, these two come from the corner of the alternative investment business known as private equity. Ressler even used to be Harris' partner. Two other hedge fund/private equity finance guys, Marc Lasry and Wes Edens, helped inflate the basketball bubble in April, when they agreed to buy the Milwaukee Bucks, a perennially bad team that plays in a competitive and tiny market, for $550 million. Harris, Ressler and Karsh have seen their three respective private equity firms do well in recent years and conduct their own initial public offerings. Another financial firm, Guggenheim Group, together with David Geffen, also submitted a rich bid for the Clippers.<br/><br />Still, as well as the Wall Street buy-side guys have been doing, in 2014 tech wealth still trumps hedge fund and private equity wealth. Rich tech guys have recently bought the Sacramento Kings and the Memphis Grizzlies. The net worth of Jan Koum, co-founder of mobile messaging start-up WhatsApp, is greater than the net worth of Harris or even Harris' partner, Leon Black. Ballmer is worth $20 billion. During his 13 years as Microsoft CEO, he proved that he was willing to outspend the competition to buy shiny new things, even when it made little financial sense. A good fairy intervenes at the last minute to change the spell into a deep sleep, but one that can only be lifted by the kiss of her true love.<br/><br />We know how that story ends. But we don't really know where it all began, and why Maleficent was so angry in the first place. We simply take wicked women as a fact of fairy tale life.<br/><br />For instance, we all know Medusa was a force of evil, but do we know she was just a beautiful innocent until she was raped by Poseidon, and transformed into snake-lady by a jealous Athena?<br/><br />Good actors question backstory. They seek the emotional motivation in every character, especially the bad ones. Jolie wears the horns with pride. She even wears the angular cheek prosthetics with drag queen snap, ensuring Maleficent feels like a cross between Agnes Moorehead's Endora from <i>Bewitched</i> and Gloria Swanson from <i>Sunset Boulevard.</i><br/><br />In this version of events, Maleficent is a sweet fairy princess who giggles all day long with the magical creatures who live in the enchanted woods. She flits from place to place with her beautiful wings, but she always stands clear of the humans who live next door.<br/><br />The humans and the fairies are afraid of one another, but when a young pauper named Stefan wanders into the woods and meets Maleficent, they form a friendship.<br/><br />The years pass. Maleficent becomes a fairy queen, but Stefan seeks to rise above his station and prove himself worthy of the throne. Ambition forces him to betray Maleficent, prompting the famous spell that befalls Aurora, and setting in motion the rest of this fantasy steeped in ancient metaphors of lost innocence.<br/><br />We all know what it really means when a 16-year-old girl pricks her finger on a spindle and starts to bleed. But Jolie ramps up the imagery to a modern level: Stefan cuts Maleficent's beautiful strong wings off with a great big knife.<br/><br />It's probably the most disturbing scene in the movie, even though we don't have to watch it happen. We see the results, and they are horrific, but only because Jolie communicates the physical and spiritual violation so well.<br/><br />Kids will be fittingly frightened by the moment, but there's nothing here that Jolie wouldn't show her own brood, as witnessed by the fact her own daughter Vivienne appears in one scene as the young Aurora.<br/><br />It's a sweet moment, and it gives the audience a chance to revel in the celebrity factor of seeing a kid that looks like Brad Pitt and Jolie together, but it also throws another dimple in the once-flat face of a cartoon villainess.<br/><br />In that moment, Jolie is also, palpably, a mother. By letting that element shine through the dark exterior, she turns Maleficent into a glowing beacon of powerful, nurturing energy and a stand-in for Mother Nature herself.<br/><br />She is truly spellbinding, but she's also kind of funny, and finds excellent comic chemistry with her sidekick, a raven named Diaval (Sam Riley) who she transforms into various animals, including the fire-breathing dragon from the last act.<br/><br />Because most of it still looks familiar, the revision feels quite seamless. But it also feels a little thin once the human males are reduced to frightened rubble because we lose the engine of tension. To be focused, to be mentally in the right place, it's hard. My head wasn't in the right place. I made some bad decisions,' he said after Game 6.<br/><br />But his struggles went beyond that. Although unbeatable in Game 7s, Lundqvist has been downright terrible in elimination games before reaching the do-or-die finale. In his last five chances to clinch a series before Game 7, Lundqvist was 0-4 - his no decision was in Game 5 against Montreal - with a 5.53 GAA with a .808 save percentage. He was pulled four times.<br/><br />Stunningly bad numbers, and enough to give one pause with Lundqvist between the pipes for Game 6. But the King banished that trend with his shutout win.<br/><br />Lundqvist has an Olympic gold in 2006 with Sweden. He has two titles in the Swedish Elite League. He even has a gold medal in inline hockey, back in 2002.<br/><br />He finally does what many of his goaltending contemporaries have done, which is win a conference title. But it's the legends - Brodeur, Hasek, Roy, Belfour - that haven't settled for the chance to play for the Cup. <div xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'><img height="300" src="http://images.eplayer.performgroup.com/namedImage/12637/install_flash.gif" width="100%"/><br/><br />CHICAGO - Brandon Saad and Patrick Kane were everywhere, and the Chicago Blackhawks needed every last play to keep their title defence alive.<br/><br />The Western Conference final is headed back to California.<br/><br />Saad and Kane each picked up an assist when Michal Handzus scored 2:04 into the second overtime, and the Blackhawks beat the Los Angeles Kings 5-4 in Game 5 on Wednesday night.<br/><br />Saad made a nice pass to the middle and Handzus beat goaltender Jonathan Quick with a backhander for his second goal of the playoffs. The Slovak centre celebrated by pounding the boards behind the net as the sellout crowd of 21,871 roared.<br/><br />'I saw him for a second there, and threw it,' Saad said. 'He handled it off his skate and made a great move. It was all good on him. He's a leader out here, does all the right things, so it's good to see him get rewarded.'<br/><br />Handzus has been all over Chicago's lines all season long as the Blackhawks searched for a second-line centre behind captain Jonathan Toews. His biggest value right now is on the penalty kill, but it was his offence that kept Chicago's title defence alive.<br/><br />'I want to help the team as much as I can,' Handzus said. 'I'm playing on the PK a lot. I'm not playing very well offensively. I'm glad I came through.'<br/><br />Saad had a goal and two assists to help Chicago stop a three-game losing streak. Brent Seabrook, Johnny Oduya and Ben Smith also scored, and Kane set a playoff career high with four assists.<br/><br />'Personally, I thought Saader was the best player on the ice tonight,' Kane said. 'He was bringing so much speed and puck protection.'<br/><br />Game 6 is Friday night in Los Angeles.<br/><br />'We go home and we come out with a better effort,' Kings defenceman Jake Muzzin said. 'We've got some experience and veterans in here who know what it takes to stop it.'<br/><br />Marian Gaborik and Dustin Brown each had a goal and an assist, and Jarret Stoll and Tanner Pearson also scored for the Kings, who led 4-3 after two periods. It was Gaborik's NHL-best 11th playoff goal.<br/><br />Quick and Chicago's Corey Crawford each stopped 40 shots.<br/><br />Los Angeles was in position to advance to its second Stanley Cup Final in three years before Smith drove to the net and swept in a rebound 1:17 into the third. Smith's third goal of the playoffs set the stage for a frantic finish as both sides pushed for the winning score.<br/><br />'It's not easy,' Kings forward Justin Williams said. 'Attaining your ultimate goal is never easy and we're going to do our best to get it done.'<br/><br />Quick made a solid stop on Marian Hossa in overtime, and the loose puck was swept away by the Kings. Los Angeles star Anze Kopitar had a chance to win it about 9 minutes into the first overtime but his shot went off the side of the net.<br/><br />Crawford had a kick save on Stoll in the first OT after Toews turned it over in the Blackhawks' zone.<br/><br />'Overtime, I've seen a lot of games, been involved in a lot of games,' said Chicago coach Joel Quenneville, a former NHL defenceman. 'That might have been the greatest overtime I've seen.'<br/><br />Back at home for Game 5 after a disastrous stay in Los Angeles, the Blackhawks put together a terrific start. But the Kings weathered the storm and then stepped up their attack in the last part of the first period.<br/><br />Seabrook, Oduya and Saad helped the Blackhawks take a 3-1 lead just 11:06 into the game. Chicago's second line of Saad, Andrew Shaw and Kane was a headache for Los Angeles all night long, creating numerous high-quality scoring chances.<br/><br />But the Kings regained the momentum on a terrific sequence with 7 minutes left in the first. Quick made a great stop on Toews, and Kopitar set up Gaborik at the other end to get the Kings within one.<br/><br />It was reminiscent of Game 2, when Quick denied Seabrook on a 2-on-1 and the Kings went on to score six straight goals in a 6-2 victory.<br/><br />This time, Brown had a nice rebound goal after Crawford made a great save on Gaborik, and Pearson made it 4-3 with a wrist shot from the right circle at 13:08 of second. Pearson deftly used Blackhawks defenceman Niklas Hjalmarsson as a screen on his fourth goal of the playoffs.<br/><br />Quick also had an outstanding save on Saad from inside the goal early in the second.<br/><br />Pearson's goal stunned the crowd, but it woke up again when Saad's perfectly timed shot set up Smith's tying score. Saad had a plus-4 rating in almost 24 minutes of ice time in one of the best games of his young career.<br/><br />NOTES: Los Angeles police say they are investigating a battery report from a fan who says Crawford sprayed water in his face during Game 4 at Staples Center. Donald Sterling. Corey Crawford.<br/><br />The face of infidelity. The face of bigotry. The face of get-outta-my-face.<br/><br />What these three have in common: all were exposed by the muck-raking celebrity news website TMZ - Woods for his 2009 SUV crash and subsequently-revealed long list of mistresses, Sterling for the taped conversation with his now ex-mistress in which the L.A. Clippers owner revealed himself to be all kinds of xenophobe, and on Wednesday morning, the most dastardly of them all:<br/><br />Crawford, for being the focus of a POLICE INVESTIGATION (!) after a heckler in Los Angeles filed a battery complaint against the Chicago Blackhawks goaltender for allegedly spraying him in the face with a water bottle.<br/><br />It was a classic of a whole different kind, full of speed and hits and misses, and at the end of it, the defending champions were still kicking, having been handed sudden life in sudden-death overtime by, of all people, 37-year-old Michal Handzus.<br/><br />Demoted from the second line while Chicago coach Joel Quenneville put Andrew Shaw at centre between Patrick Kane and Brandon Saad - a move that paid huge dividends - Handzus nonetheless was back in his old spot at 2:04 of the second extra period to end a wild-and-crazy 5-4 thriller that staved off elimination and sent the Western Conference final back to Los Angeles for a sixth game on Friday night.<br/><br />The Kings still lead the series 3-2.<br/><br />After a first overtime in which the two teams went end-to-end with a dazzling string of scoring chances, Handzus was utterly unmarked as he took Saad's pass in the slot and beat Jonathan Quick with a backhand deke, sending another capacity crowd at the United Center into delirium.<br/><br />'I think I haven't played very well,' said Handzus. 'I'm playing on the (penalty kill) a lot, and we were giving up the goals. I didn't play very well offensively. I wasn't very happy with my play.<br/><br />'Obviously I'm glad I came through. It's only one game. I know I got to get better. Hopefully it helps me.'<br/><br />'There's going to be a hero in here, we kept saying,' said the 21-year-old Saad, who was the best player on either team. 'Luckily, we got one. I saw him for a second there and threw it. He handled it off his skate and made a great move.<br/><br />'He's a leader out here and he does all the right things. It's nice to see him get rewarded.'<br/><br />The Hawks, down to their last life, had blown a pair of two-goal leads and trailed into the third period before Ben Smith tied it early - banging home a fat rebound of Saad's shot that Jonathan Quick kicked right onto his stick - and then both teams held on to get to overtime.<br/><br />With much of the day consumed by jokes about Chicago goalie Corey Crawford dousing an L.A. heckler with a water bottle on Monday night, both netminders were all wet in this one - first Quick and then Crawford giving up two goals on the first five enemy shots.<br/><br />And the goals just kept going in.<br/><br />The Hawks, who had been manhandled at centre by the Kings for most of the series, ended up getting eight points from Saad (two goals and an assist), Kane (three helpers) and Shaw (two assists).<br/><br />'We had a big night,' said Saad. 'It feels good to get the offense going. We've had some chemistry in the past. I think we came out flying and working hard tonight. We have skill on our line. If we work hard the rest is going to take care of itself.'<br/><br />Starting with a Brent Seabrook rocket on the power play, 73 seconds into the game with Drew Doughty in the box, the Hawks leaped out to 2-0 and 3-1 leads and looked ready to run the Kings out of the building.<br/><br />Johnny Oduya swept home a juicy rebound of Kane's shot at 3:40 to make it 2-0, and the Madhouse was rocking.<br/><br />But Jarret Stoll scored one for the Kings out of nowhere, shoveling home a rebound neither Crawford nor anyone else could find, and though Saad restored Chicago's two-goal lead at 11:06 (another rebound kicked onto his stick bv Quick), the Blackhawks' dominance began to wane.<br/><br />Marian Gaborik finished off Anze Kopitar's feed on a 3-on-2 break to pull L.A. within one, and when the Kings swarmed all over the Chicago net at the end of the period, doing everything but tie it, the fans sent their heroes to the intermission with a nervous smattering of applause, almost as if they knew something.<br/><br />Sure enough, the visitors leaped on two Chicago turnovers for the tying goal by Dustin Brown, a diving sweep of a Marian Gaborik rebound, and the go-ahead marker by Tanner Pearson.<br/><br />The latter was a 35-foot wrister from his wrong wing that went past defender Niklas Hjalmarsson and handcuffed Crawford, whose series save percentage, at that moment, was an appalling .858.<br/><br />Smith's goal was enough to get the game into overtime and set the stage for one of the great periods of hockey in these playoffs.<br/><br />No goals were scored, but nearly eight minutes elapsed at one point without a whistle and the pace was exhilarating to watch, and must have been exhausting to play.<br/><br />Now, another four-hour flight, and precious little time to recover. But the Hawks, 12-0 in Games 5, 6 and 7 over the past two playoff seasons, have got their confidence back.<br/><br />'We wanted to leave it all on the ice,' said Saad. 'We just didn't want our season to end now.'<br/><br />'We knew what we were up against,' said Kings' Justin Williams. 'We also know what's possible in the next two games. A look back at her most prominent works<br/><br />Maya Angelou, who died Wednesday at the age of 86, was known for many things throughout her life: her wisdom, her acting, her indefatigable civil rights activism. But more than anything else, Angelou was famous for her writing. Both a prolific poet and memorist, Angelou penned more than two dozens books and collections throughout her life (including two cookbooks).<br/><br />Despite the scale of her oeuvre, much of her work deals with reoccuring themes: love, heartbreak, family, race and feminism. Her books were critically-acclaimed and adored by many readers; here are some of the most notable works.<br/><br /><strong>I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings</strong> (1969)<br/><br />The first of seven autobiographical works, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings is Angelou's most famous and critically acclaimed book. The story spans much of her childhood, following young Maya and her older brother as they bounce from their parents' home to their grandmother's and back again. Throughout the memoir, Angelou struggles not only with feelings of chronic displacement but also her experiences with racism, molestation and rape. Nominated for the National Book Award and named one of the All-TIME Best 100 Non-Fiction works (by this writer), Caged Bird was a revolutionary account of what it meant to be young, female and black in America.<br/><br /><i>Just Give Me a Cool Drink of Water 'fore I Diiie</i> (1971)<br/><br />Angelou's first collected work of poetry, Just Give was written largely before her first memoir was published, with many of the poems originating as song lyrics. (Angelou worked as a nightclub singer in her twenties.) The book is divided into two sections: Where Love Is a Scream of Anguish features poems about love, while Just Before the World Ends features poems about surviving as an African-American in a white society. The collection became a best-seller and was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in 1972.<br/><br /><i>The Heart of a Woman</i> (1981)<br/><br />For her fourth memoir, Angelou recounts her life from the years 1957 to 1962, where she leaves California with her son, Guy, to move to New York. She finds herself amongst other black artists and writers, reading her work at the Harlem Writers Guild, and taking part in the civil rights movement. She also recounts falling in love with a South African freedom fighter, which led her to travel to London and Cairo, though ultimately the memoir isn't about relationships - it's about 'a voyage into the self.' The book was praised by critics and - 16 years after it was first published - Oprah Winfrey selected Heart as an Oprah's Book Club selection, which put it on the best-sellers list.<br/><br /><i>Wouldn't Take Nothing for My Journey Now</i> (1993)<br/><br />The first of three essay collections, Wouldn't Take Nothing is a collection of autobiographical pieces and homilies that Angelou was reportedly encouraged to write by her friend Oprah Winfrey. Together with her second collection of essays, <i>Even the Stars Look Lonesome,</i> which was published four years later, the essay collections were dubbed 'Angelou's wisdom books' in the New Yorker by Hilton Als.<br/><br /><i>Mom & Me & Mom</i> (2013)<br/><br />What would become Angelou's final book was both her seventh memoir and the only work where she focuses on her relationship with her mother. Mom recounts much of the material found in Angelou's earlier memoirs, but hones in on her mother's role in the events of her life. Chronicling her mother's abandonment of Angelou as a young child, the memoir also covers their reunion and reconciliation. TMZ also reported that police were investigating Crawford, but a spokesman told CBS Chicago that they were not investigating any matter related to Crawford.<br/><br />Wong told TMZ he was heckling Crawford from behind the Blackhawks bench when Crawford was pulled in the third period. Wong said Crawford then sprayed him with his water bottle, which he believed was 'filled with backwash - along with water - and it has caused serious irritation to his eyes.'<br/><br />TMZ reports that Wong was ejected from the game a few minutes later for 'taunting the players' and began to rub his eyes and complain about pain as he was being escorted out.<br/><br />Chicago lost the game 5-2.<br/><br />It has not been a great series for Crawford and the Blackhawks, who are down 3-1 against the Kings. In Garbine Muguruza 's case, you keep it simple:<br/><br />'OK, don't lose your mind,' the 20-year-old said as she stepped to the line to try to close it out.<br/><br />Muguruza did more than keep her head together. She used it well enough to throw the No. 1 seed off her game and hand her the most lopsided loss of her Grand Slam career, 6-2, 6-2, in just 64 minutes.<br/><br />'She played really well,' a disappointed and slightly stunned Williams said afterward, 'she played really smart.'<br/><br />Muguruza's game plan was the height of simplicity: Hit the ball right down the middle, with as much pace and depth as possible.<br/><br />'I wanted to be so aggressive from the beginning,' she said afterward. 'Don't give her angles, so she doesn't make me run.'<br/><br />It was a plan that might have been cribbed from Ana Ivanovic, who beat Serena by going as big as possible, as early as possible, at the Australian Open this year. But it was perfectly suited to Muguruza's style-a long-legged six-footer, her strength is hitting with power; her weakness, as she hinted, is retrieving. She knew she couldn't play defense against Serena, and she never did.<br/><br />Of course, it's one thing to have a game plan, and quite another to execute it against a 17-time Grand Slam champion. Muguruza was virtually flawless, especially with her returns and backhands, which seemed to be laser-guided to a spot about a foot in front of the baseline. Even when Williams was serving, she was on her heels. It's rare to beat Serena, but it may be even rarer to break her five times in the process.<br/><br />Serena was flat to start, and as she admitted later, she never adjusted to the straight-ahead Muguruza attack. Williams had a little bit of success in the first set trying to move Muguruza wide, but mostly she tried to hit through her. The result was 29 unforced errors for Serena against just eight winners. Each time it appeared that Muguruza might be ready to get tight, Serena helped her out by going for too much and missing.<br/><br />At the start of the second set, rather than making the Spaniard play and possibly start to think about what was transpiring, Serena slapped four straight service returns out. Only at 1-3 in the second did Williams try to slow the pace and gather herself, but that only made things worse. She double faulted twice in that game and shouted, 'I can't serve.'<br/><br />Afterward, Serena dismissed the possible excuses the press tossed her way-no, she wasn't injured, she said; and no, the conditions hadn't been especially tricky.<br/><br />'She played really great,' Serena said, 'But it's good because I'm going to go home and work five times as hard so I never lose again.'<br/><br />Most amazing about Muguruza's performance was the way it ended. With her casual stride and head held up high, she looked collected rather than nervous-that's what a good game plan, and a little bit of time in the zone, can do for you. Muguruza saved her biggest serve of the day for the final game, and held at love. Photograph: Screenshot<br/><br />One of the web's largest search engines for downloads on file-sharing websites has been taken offline by the City of London police for linking to pirated content.<br/><br />Torrentz.eu was already blocked in the UK by a number of British ISPs, having been blacklisted in October 2013 alongside 20 other file-sharing sites, but the side's domain name was removed entirely on Monday. By Tuesday, however, the site was back up following legal complaints from the owners.<br/><br />The City of London police had contacted Torrentz's domain name registrar, and asked it to suspend the site for linking to content which infringes copyright.<br/><br />A City of London Police spokesperson said, 'The Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit (PIPCU) has recently contacted a number of domain registrars hosting copyright infringing as part of Operation Creative, and as a result several major copyright infringing websites, including Torrentz.eu, have closed down.'<br/><br />However, the site is still live at other domain names. The force's request has no legal force, but many registrars follow such requests anyway. 'At the first instance of a website being confirmed as providing copyright infringing content, the site owner is contacted by officers at PIPCU and offered the opportunity to engage with the police, to correct their behaviour and to begin to operate legitimately,' the City of London police spokesperson said.<br/><br />'If a website fails to comply and engage with the police, then a variety of other tactical options may be used including; contacting the domain registrar informing them of the criminality and seeking suspension of the site and disrupting advertising revenue through the use of an Infringing Website List (IWL) available to those involved in the sale and trading of digital advertising.'<br/><br />Torrentz is one of the largest search engines for bitorrent files. The site lets users search for content to download using the bitorrent file-sharing protocol. Typically, this is unlicensed copies of TV shows and movies such as Game of Thrones and the upcoming X Men: Days of Future Past, both linked to from one of the remaining versions of the Torrentz site.<br/><br />But the site also contains legal content, such as installers for free open source software and books released under 'copyleft' licenses, which pre-emptively grants permission for them to be shared.<br/><br />A day after the initial suspention, TorrentFreak reported that the site's Polish host, registrar, apparently changed its mind about complying with the police request after Torrentz's lawyer contacted them to complain. The registrar hasn't officially responded, but has restored the domain.<br/><br />In the Netherlands, a court lifted a ban on notorious file-sharing site The Pirate Bay in January, labelling the practice 'ineffective'. Officers from PIPCU then evaluate the websites and verify whether they are infringing copyright. At the first instance of a website being confirmed as providing copyright infringing content, the site owner is contacted by officers at PIPCU and offered the opportunity to engage with the police, to correct their behaviour and to begin to operate legitimately.<br/><br />'If a website fails to comply and engage with the police, then a variety of other tactical options may be used including; contacting the domain registrar informing them of the criminality and seeking suspension of the site and disrupting advertising revenue through the use of an Infringing Website List (IWL) available to those involved in the sale and trading of digital advertising.<br/><br />'The IWL, the first of its kind to be developed, is an online portal providing the digital advertising sector with an up-to-date list of copyright infringing sites, identified and evidenced by the creative industries and verified by the City of London Police unit. <div xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'><img height="300" src="http://i3.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article3615964.ece/alternates/s615/MAIN-Kate-Middleton-Daily-Telegraph.jpg" width="100%"/><br/><br />The Sydney Daily Telegraph published the controversial shot less than a week after German publication Bild ran the picture<br/><br /><br/><br />A newspaper in Australia has waded in on the controversy over the pictures of Kate Middleton's bare bottom and published the image.<br/><br />The Sydney Daily Telegraph ran the pictures today saying that it was 'ridiculous' to follow suit with the UK's media which decides against publishing such images of the royals.<br/><br />The revealing pictures were taken when Kate's blue and white Diane Von Furstenberg dress blew up on a visit to Sydney's Blue mountains during her official tour of Australia last month.<br/><br />No British magazine or newspaper would publish them so they were sold overseas in a move that will deeply dismay Prince William and Kate.<br/><br />A piece has been published the Rupert Murdoch owned title under the headline: 'Why should the media stick to an antiquated code of etiquette when Kate doesn't bother to protect her own modesty?'<br/><br />In her piece, writer Annette Sharp says: 'Why would the cheeky French, German and American media, with no Commonwealth ties to Britain, be ­expected to honour such an antiquated code of ­etiquette? Why should the media be responsible for turning a blind eye when the royals aren't always vigilant about keeping themselves nice?'<br/><br /><br/><br />Getty Kate Middleton meets with locals as she tours the Blue Mountains suburb of Winmalee with her husband Prince William<br/><br />German newspaper Bild features the shot on their website along with another picture of Kate in Canada in 2011 when her yellow Jenny Packham dress did exactly the same thing.<br/><br />Both pictures were taken shortly after she disembarked from a helicopter, with the wind from the propellers causing her dress to blow up.<br/><br />The photographs have sparked comments online about why Kate doesn't wear weights in her hems like the Queen to avoid future wardrobe mishaps.<br/><br />One Twitter user wrote: 'Why doesn't she weight her hems?'<br/><br />Kate and William have faced frequent battles to protect their privacy and modesty by preventing the publication of photographs.<br/><br />The most notable case was when topless pictures of Kate appeared in a French magazine in September 2012 taken on their holiday to a Provence Chateaux.<br/><br />The couple launched legal proceedings and issued a statement saying: 'They have been hugely saddened to learn that a French publication and a photographer have invaded their privacy in such a grotesque and unjustifiable manner.<br/><br />'This is reminiscent of the worst excesses of the paparazzi during Diana's life and the more upsetting to the duke and duchess for being so.'<br/><br />They were also snapped on their honeymoon in the Seychelles and on their 'babymoon' to Mustique when Kate was pregnant with George.<br/><br />Clarence House refused to officially comment on the publication of the photographs.<br/><br />A source said the household would ask publications to use their discretion when it came to using the pictures.<br/><br /><br/><br />View gallery<br/><br />Ian Vogler / Daily Mirror<br/><br /><br/><br />German newspaper Bild features the controversial shot - taken during the recent tour of Australia - on its website See more stories you'll love<br/><br />You've turned off story recommendations. Billed a flagship release for the new Xbox One and PlayStation 4, it left gamers salivating in anticipation of a title that uses the consoles' increased processing power for a generational leap forward in visuals and introduce something truly new in gaming.<br/><br />The first entry of a brand-new franchise, Watch Dogs is a fresh start from a publisher known for iterating year after year its well-worn and acclaimed series, including Assassin's Creed and Far Cry. The creators also promised a new take on the Grand Theft Auto, run-and-gun, open-world style of video game with its introduction of a timely lens: hackers, online security and the surveillance state.<br/><br />By any measure, Watch Dogs is a gargantuan game. The main storyline - in which protagonist Aiden Pearce finds himself stuck in a morass of double-dealers and extortionists in Chicago's hacking and information technology scene - spans roughly 30 hours. Dozens of other side missions, investigations and mini-games easily add up to more than twice that length, for those who absolutely need to plumb Watch Dogs ' depths. Rest assured: you'll get your money's worth as far as raw content goes. A strong cast and script<br/><br />Playing through Watch Dogs feels somewhat like binging on several seasons of fast-paced TV shows such as 24 or Homeland. Pearce is an expert hacker whose adventures in pilfering millions from the bank accounts of unsuspecting victims earned him a place on an assassin's hit list - but resulted in the death of his six-year-old niece instead. '[The game's] straight-talking approach is refreshingly different from the juvenile, reality-show satire that characterized 2013's Grand Theft Auto 5'<br/><br />Wracked with guilt, we first meet him while he's on the trail of his would-be hitman. Of course, things don't go as planned and he finds himself dragged into conspiracies involving inter-gang warfare, shady security firms and old friends-turned-enemies. We've seen this before in crime thriller stories, for instance movies like Ransom or the Jason Bourne novels and films.<br/><br />The tone of Watch Dogs, however, is a change from the open-world games of the past - especially those set in the near-present. Yes, the storyline hits expected hallmarks of the thriller genre (you've got your chase scenes, blackmail and last-minute, near-impossible tasks to accomplish), but the game's straight-talking approach is refreshingly different from the juvenile, reality-show satire that characterized 2013's Grand Theft Auto 5.<br/><br />Pearce isn't a particularly likeable protagonist: though he cares for his family, he's also a stone-cold killer and as capable at blackmail and extortion as his adversaries. However, he's still a step up from the psychopathic Mafiosi and jive-talking gang members of the GTA series.<br/><br />His family and the rest of the game's supporting characters are believable, rather than intentionally offensive stereotypes stretched thin over the course of 30 hours of gaming. It's a shame we don't see more of them. A few missions in the shoes of Clara, an enigmatic hacker with a thick Québécois accent, or the charismatic sometimes-ally Jordi Chin ('That is a terrible plan. I love it.') would have been welcome. Hacking the public<br/><br />Pearce's hacking know-how shines through best when players are not actually embroiled in a specific mission or advancing the main storyline at all.<br/><br />With a press of a button on his cell phone, the character's Profiler scans his surroundings, thanks to an always-on connection with the city's digital operating system, CtOS. This allows him to zero in on details about any of the dozens of pedestrians around him, just minding their business in Chicago (which is, incidentally, gorgeously rendered on the next-generation consoles or a beefy home PC).<br/><br />The scan reveals their names, occupation and salary as well as a short line of flavour text that shares something about that person. He or she could be listed as divorced, a known anti-government protester or undergoing long-term cancer treatment.<br/><br />Some phones are open to hacking, meaning you can steal money from the owner's bank accounts, read text messages or listen in on phone conversations. Others will give you a tip about a possible crime, leading to an in-game mission. But many are simply there for you to crack into and glimpse these people's private lives. Depending on how voyeuristic a player chooses to be, one could spend hours simply prying into these digitally connected citizens. 'Are you, as [main character] Aiden Pearce, exposing ... invasion of privacy? Or do you just enjoying being a voyeur?<br/><br />Pearce isn't the only one monitoring the unsuspecting populace, of course. As the game progresses, you'll often hack the internal servers of Blume Security, the company behind CtOS. Despite a sparkling clean public image, it turns out the firm has been secretly recording people and capturing private moments through security cameras, smartphones and webcams in their homes.<br/><br />These videos and clips, dubbed 'CtZN OS,' are leaked by the hacker community and players can browse through them - scenes ranging from an illicit affair taking place in an office boardroom to a mother caring for her newborn (recorded through a camera in a crib mobile).<br/><br />Are you, as Pearce, exposing Blume for a National Security Agency-like invasion of privacy? Or do you just enjoying being a voyeur? Watch Dogs opens up these current conversations (although many of the game's glimpses into people's lives are raunchy, rather than profound). Familiar territory<br/><br />Still, Watch Dogs hasn't quite escaped the format of its open-world predecessors. It doesn't share Grand Theft Auto' s setting, but the game does share a basic design. You'll still be driving to and from Pearce's missions, shooting dozens of enemies while hiding behind chest-high walls and getting into many, many car chases.<br/><br />Most of the hacks you employ during the game are clever, though you've probably seen something similar in other titles.<br/><br />Standing across the street from a base crawling with guards, for instance, you can hack into a security camera, scope out the surroundings and remotely mess with the scene. You'll be able to overload a guard's earpiece or a power circuit to cause sparks to fly. Or you might remotely detonate grenade sitting inside an enemy's vest.<br/><br />You can even do all of these things in the thick of combat. Hey, the idea of being able to instantly hack your surroundings while in the middle of a firefight may not be realistic, but it sure is exciting.<br/><br />None of these features will be entirely new if you've been playing AAA games for the last few years. You have Splinter Cell's stealth, the tailing missions of Assassin's Creed, Batman: Arkham City's glee for tormenting your enemies from afar and, of course, the driving and shooting from Grand Theft Auto.<br/><br />Watch Dogs won't teach you how to become a hacker nor will it redefine gaming's genre staples for the current crop of new consoles.
