The reigning champion continued his impressive performances at SW19 as he reaches the last-eight without dropping a set so far in the tournament
Rex Features Delight: Murray is in the last-eight for the seventh successive year
Andy Murray has booked his place in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon with a straight-sets victory over Kevin Anderson.
The Scot is yet to drop a set during the tournament and continued the run with a 6-4, 6-3, 6-6 (8-6) success.
Murray got off to a fine start on Centre Court and broke early in the first set before closing it out after just 42 minutes.
He then secured another break in the second to take a 3-0 lead but as rain started to fall, play was suspended and the pair left the court.
Around 20 minutes later - with the roof closed - Murray and Anderson returned, with the South African appearing rejuvenated from the stoppage.
He drew the scores level at 3-3 but the Scot soon got back in his stride and broke again to take the set 6-3.
It only appeared a matter of time until the win was confirmed but the 6ft 8ins Anderson stayed in there and took the third set to a tie-break.
However, after hitting a backhand long, Murray was on match point and he ensured his place in the last eight with an impressive drive.
The Scot will now face either Leonardo Mayer or dark horse Grigor Dimitrov in the next round.
