There are two perpetual constants in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 - death and jump-scares. Every so often, if you're lucky (or unlucky) a death will lead to something unique.
After getting caught by one of the hellish animatronics stalking the halls of the Pizzeria there's a random chance you might enter into one of several different mini-games with Atari graphics. Get more info on this cool and creepy inclusion to the indie horror sequel in the section below.
Enjoy horror on a scheduled basis on the GameFront Twitch streaming channel where James and Mitch play through tons of indie horror. Then see how to summon Golden Freddy in Five Nights at Freddy's 1 with our Easter egg guide. Random Death Mini-Games Easter Egg
Sometimes getting caught leads to a mini-game styled after old Atari graphics. Usually it leads to another jump-scare for a double dose of frights. There are several different little creepy mini-games triggered by each animatronic nightmare.
All mini-games appear with 'WASD' over the player's head. Use these keyboard keys to move around the environment. Mini-Game #1:
This mini-game is triggered by the new Freddy Animatronic - probably while you're trying to hide in your own mask. It can also appear if Golden Freddy or Chica catches you. In this game, you play as a small Freddy as he chases the creepy puppet through the halls of the Pizzeria.
Failing to complete the mini-game usually leads to a jump-scare. Succeeding leads to a jump-scare too, but it seems better to complete it. Make sure to follow the puppet figure whichever direction it retreats through.
Eventually the puppet leads Freddy into a bloody room with a huge open gift. Touch the white sitting child figure to end the sequence. Mini-Game #2:
Dying on Chica (perhaps later in the week, like on Day 6) leads to a small room where you, as the puppet, need to take care of six children figures.
Touch them to turn the figures green. Letting them all turn red leads ends the game. Mini-Game #3:
Randomly you may appear in a room as Foxy. Walk into the connecting room and you're greeted with happy children screaming 'Hurray!' which instantly teleports Foxy back into the starting room.
Return two more times to complete the cycle. The third instance leads into a room of lifeless children right before the game cuts out. Mini-Game #4:
The fourth rare mini-game puts you in control of the puppet figure. The text instructs you to give all the children in the room gifts. Touch them to complete the task and get a second mission.
A new prompt appears at the top, telling you to 'Give the kids life' which replaces the kids with different animatronic figures. Doing so leads directly into a Golden Freddy jump-scare, as if this one wasn't creepy enough.
