Last night on 'The Voice,' on the third live show of Season 6, the top eight finalists competed. And tonight, Tuesday, THREE of these contestants will go home, in one big bloodletting. Yes, the top eight will instantly become the top five. Why is NBC rushing through the live shows as if repo men are about to arrive and tear down the set? I have no idea, but I do know that tonight's results show will be painful to watch, regardless of who goes home.
So today, returning 'The Day After' guest co-host Katrina Parker - who you surely know from Team Adam on 'The Voice' Season 2, and from her own informative 'Voice' blogs for The Wrap - and I have much to discuss. So much, in fact, that we run out of time before even broaching the subject of Adam Levine's new platinum 'do.
Did Kat Perkins's radical remake of Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' really work, or will she get unlucky tonight? Will Delvin Choice's ill-advised cover of R. Kelly's cheesy ballad 'I Believe I Can Fly' result in a one-way fiight back home? Which country contender (Jake Worthington, Kristen Merlin, or Audra McLaughlin) has the best chance of making it to the finale? Are Josh Kaufman and Christina Grimmie still the ones to beat? And who will be in the bottom three tonight?
We chat about all this and more in today's webisode. Enjoy! Follow Lyndsey on Twitter Follow Katrina on Twitter
