One person is dead after a shooting in Detroit that cancelled the Cinco de Mayo parade. The incident happened at Vernor Highway and Ferdinand Street.
According to police, the suspect shot the victim right in front of an officer, who immediately tackled the suspect and took him into custody.
The victim was taken to the hospital by the police, but was pronounced dead.
Police are investigating the incident and its potential connection to gang violence.
