MLB 14 The Show on PlayStation 4 isn't yet available digitally because of 'unforeseen technical issues,' according to an update to a PlayStation Blog post this morning.

The PS4 version of MLB 14 launched today, and according to the game's pre-order listing on the PlayStation Store, it should have been available to download as of 12:01 a.m. ET. The PS3 version, which launched April 1, went up on the store shortly after midnight as part of Sony's Day 1 Digital program.

But the PS4 title wasn't live by two hours past that time, as the MLB The Show Twitter account noted. And now, more than 12 hours later, MLB 14 on PS4 still isn't available in the PS Store. That has left many baseball fans who expected to get in a game or two before bedtime with nothing to do but express their anger and frustration on forums online.

'Due to unforeseen technical issues, MLB 14 The Show for PS4 is not currently available for download via the PlayStation Store. All parties are working as quickly as possible to remedy the issue,' reads an update from Sony posted to the PlayStation Blog shortly before noon ET.

Sony released a system software update for the PS4 last week that brought the console's firmware to version 1.70. Following the update, the PS4 supports preloading digital games for pre-order customers, but MLB 14 wasn't available for download ahead of time.

We've reached out to MLB 14 publisher Sony Computer Entertainment for more details, and will update this article with any information we receive. In the meantime, you can check out our review of the PS3 version of the game.

[Thanks, Craig Nolen!]
