Country singer Emily West, a finalist on NBC's hit show America's Got Talent, has had some success in the music biz already. Her single, 'Rocks in Your Shoes' hit the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in early 2008. And then in 2010, she sang a duet with American Idol judge Keith Urban called 'Blue Sky.' That song stay on the charts for 13 weeks.
Flying high from the success of 'Blue Sky,' West appeared in a 2010 episode of Celebrity Apprentice. She was the ' music makeover' target for the women's team led by zany Girls Just Want To Have Fun singer Cyndi Lauper, who btw is performing tonight on America's Got Talent, before the winner (maybe West!) is announced. Emily West and Cyndi Lauper have something else in common: their favorite charity is the Stonewall Community Foundation - West donated 100% of the first month of iTunes sales of 'Blue Sky to the LGBTQ organization, and the $45k Lauper raised via Celebrity Apprentice went to the Foundation, too.
