Gabrielle Union is one of many new victims of the massive celeb photo hack, and she has confirmed that the photos in question are of her with a fiery new statement condemning her hacker. Read it below!While many of the celebrities victimized by the latest round of stolen nude photos have opted for silence or even denial, actress Gabrielle Union, 41, has chosen another route entirely. Along with husband Dwyane Wade, 32, the pair have released a joint statement in which they confirm the existence and legitimacy of the photos, condemn the hacker, defend women's bodies, and send their love and support to Gabrielle's fellow victims. In a statement released to TMZ, Gabrielle and Dwyane had the following to say about their private photos being stolen:
'It has come to our attention that our private moments, that were shared and deleted solely between my husband and myself, have been leaked by some vultures.
'I can't help but to be reminded that since the dawn of time women and children, specifically women of color, have been victimized, and the power over their own bodies taken from them. These atrocities against women and children continue worldwide.
'For anyone out there also being affected by these and other hacking and hate crimes - We send our love, support and prayers. We have done nothing wrong.' Gabrielle Union: 'We Have Done Nothing Wrong'
We absolutely love Gabrielle's statement. Gabrielle is right - the victims of this massive photo hack have done nothing wrong in taking nude photos. These women should not be made to feel ashamed of themselves nor of choices they've made about their bodies, which are not ours to gawk at without their explicit consent.
TMZ has also reported that Gabrielle's team will be contacting the FBI. Considering that the FBI have ostensibly been working on capturing this hacker ever since the first round of photos were released, we can only hope that they're closing in.
However, judging by this new round of photos, the hacker does not seem to be feeling particularly threatened by the FBI.
In any case, we sincerely hope that the perpetrator will be brought to justice very soon.
