Hot News: US Open: Roger Federer survives early hiccup to down Marcel Granollers

The second seed made a slow start in a match interrupted by a thunderstorm but was hugely impressive thereafter in beating Spain's Marcel Granollers 4-6, 6-1, 6-1, 6-1.<br/><br />Federer came into this tournament in superb form and had not been tested in his opening two matches so it was a big surprise when he only won one point in the first three games.<br/><br />At 5-2 to Granollers, the players were taken off because of the threat of lightning and a few minutes later a torrential downpour began. When they returned it was to the odd scene - certainly for Federer - of a virtually empty Arthur Ashe Stadium. Tournament organisers had decided to start the night session prematurely, much to the annoyance of many day session ticket-holders, who were unable to watch the conclusion of the match.<br/><br />Federer looked like he had repaired the damage when he retrieved the break but Granollers played a superb returning game to take the set.<br/><br />The turning point came early in the second set when Federer saved a break point with an ace to avoid trailing 2-0. Granollers did not win another game until he was 3-0 down in the third set, Federer dominating from the back of the court and at the net. There was nothing the Spaniard, ranked 42, could do to turn things back in his favour and Federer clinched victory with his 57th winner after an hour and 58 minutes.<br/><br />'I enjoyed it,' said Federer. 'I thought it was a good match and I'm happy I was able to come back and turn it around. Marcel started really on fire. The break helped me and I came out and played some great tennis.'<br/><br />Fourth seed David Ferrer became the first top-10 man to exit the tournament in a third-round loss to France's Gilles Simon. Ferrer, whose relentlessness is legendary, struggled in hot and humid conditions in New York and went down 6-3, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3. Having made 10 straight grand slam quarter-finals, the 32-year-old has now failed to get past the third round at the last two.<br/><br />It was an overdue big win at a slam for the talented Simon, whose only previous appearance in the fourth round at Flushing Meadows came in 2011, when he lost to John Isner.<br/><br />Both men cited the conditions as having a big impact, with Simon saying: 'It was really, really difficult to play. I feel it was one of the hardest days for me on the court because it was hot and it was so humid.<br/><br />'I've never sweated like this in the last 10 years. To play David in these conditions is really demanding physically. At one point I was really tired. I felt it would be difficult. But then I had more energy. I felt he was in trouble, also. It's not very often that him and me are tired like this after two hours.'<br/><br />In the last 16, Simon will face 14th seed Marin Cilic, who won a big-hitting contest with Kevin Anderson 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. Also through is sixth seed Tomas Berdych, a 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 winner over Russian Teymuraz Gabashvili. Hot News: Nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence and other female celebrities leaked online

Photo: Getty Images<br/><br />A hacker has reportedly obtained nude photos of a slew of female celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence.<br/><br />The anonymous source, according to <i>The Hollywood Gossip</i>, has 60 images of the 24-year-old <i>The Hunger Games</i> star in various states of undress and has posted them on an online bulletin board. The photos of Lawrence, some of which are topless, have since appeared on photo sharing site Imgur.<br/><br /><i>Sports Illustrated</i> favourite Kate Upton and Australian actress Teresa Palmer have also been targeted. Representatives for both Upton and Lawrence have confirmed the legitimacy of the photos.<br/><br />A hacker is believed to have obtained 60 risque images of Jennifer Lawrence which are now going viral. Photo: Getty Images<br/><br />'The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence,' her spokesperson said.<br/><br />Upton's publicist also told BuzzFeed they were 'looking into this'.<br/><br />Actress Mary Winstead has also confirmed images of her have been stolen and leaked. She confirmed via Twitter however the images now going viral were deleted by her some time ago. To those of you looking at photos I took with my husband years ago in the privacy of our home, hope you feel great about yourselves. - Mary E. Winstead (@M_E_Winstead) August 31, 2014<br/><br />'Knowing those photos were deleted long ago, I can only imagine the creepy effort that went into this. Feeling for everyone who got hacked,' she said.<br/><br />'You know what's better then leaked nudes? Earning the trust and respect of another human to the point that they share their body with you.'<br/><br />A master list supposedly containing the names of all the hacked celebrities has also been doing the rounds online, and includes Upton, <i>Friday Night Lights</i> star Amber Heard and Nickelodeon actress and singer Victoria Justice.<br/><br />According to BuzzFeed, the hacker accessed the photos thanks to an iCloud leak that allowed the celebrities' phones to be hacked.<br/><br />Victoria Justice was quick to jump on Twitter and hose down the rumours.<br/><br />'These so called nudes of me are FAKE people. Let me nip this in the bud right now. *pun intended*,' Justice tweeted.<br/><br />Other celebrities affected have yet to comment, and for now the rest of the photos are unverified.<br/><br />Reports in the US suggest the phones and computers of celebrities were hacked over the weekend as a form of extortion as the photos are available for sale in exchange for Bitcoins.<br/><br />Authorities have been cracking down on hacking and phone tapping, especially in Hollywood. A man in Florida was arrested recently after he released nude images of Scarlett Johannson and Mila Kunis after hacking a number of celebrity email accounts for more than a year.<br/><br />Gossip blogger Perez Hilton published the uncensored images of Lawrence and Price but has since deleted them. Even the censored versions he replaced them with.<br/><br />'I acted in haste just to get the post up and didn't really think things through. I'm sorry,' he said.<br/><br />'Upon further reflection and just sitting with my actions, I don't feel comfortable even keeping the censored photos up. I am removing them.' Raonic took revenge with a Wimbledon win this summer.<br/><br />Makarova, ranked 18th, won her only previous match with Bouchard, last August in Washington. But if Bouchard - the only woman this season to reach the final four of the three previous majors - plays her best, her Russian opponent might find it difficult to advance into a fifth career quarter-final at a major.<br/><br />'I know she plays really well, she's played well this year,' Bouchard said. 'It's always tricky playing a lefty, so I'm going to get my 60-year-old [lefty] coach to serve to me. Hopefully that will prepare me a little bit.<br/><br />'But I'm going to try to do better,' she added. 'When I'm ahead, I'm going to keep going, keep pushing, really try to impose my game - but at the same time, stay consistent. So I'm going to work on that in practice. I just want to do better in my next match really.'<br/><br />After winning in a fight back in her previous two matches, Bouchard hopes to drop the drama quotient.<br/><br />'I don't have to go for crazy shots all the time, I don't always have to do an amazing winner. I wanted to go for it a little too much,' she said. 'It's about finding the right balance because I definitely want to try to go for it a lot.'<br/><br />Bouchard has heard the roar of the New York crowd in her ears for her past two sessions, drawing highlight matches in the vast Arthur Ashe Stadium. It's an environment in which she seems to be getting more comfortable.<br/><br />'It's a huge stadium, biggest in the world, with amazing hardcore tennis fans that really get into it. It's a different experience,' said the Canadian. 'It's something you kind of have to get used to.<br/><br />'I try to block it out between points and stay focused on what I have to do, but still try to use the energy a little bit the right way. It's definitely kind of a learning experience. I've had two night matches in a row so I feel like I'm getting the hang of it a little.'<br/><br />Raonic would reach the Flushing Meadows round of 16 for the third consecutive year if he beats Nishikori. The Wimbledon semi-finalist remains tight-lipped about his tennis strategies, but knows that he faces a battle with Nishikori.<br/><br />'It's good to put myself in the fourth round and in a position to go further in this tournament and give myself an opportunity to play better. I believe I can play better and I believe I will,' said the 23-year-old. 'I have got to focus on myself. I've got to clean up a few things. I've got to put out a certain level if I want to have opportunities, create opportunities.<br/><br />'Hopefully when those opportunities do arise, I can make the most of them.'<br/><br />Raonic and Nishikori go back almost a decade to teenaged tennis in Florida.<br/><br />'Kei's biggest strength comes really in his movement, he's able to take the ball early because of it,' Raonic said. 'But at the same time he can defend well because of how well he moves. <div xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'><img height="300" src="http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/77292000/jpg/_77292861_023702309-1.jpg" width="100%"/><br/><br />Last updated at 21:26<br/><br /><br/><br /><strong>Dates:</strong> 25 August-8 September <strong>Coverage:</strong> Live radio and text commentary on Andy Murray's matches, plus commentary every day from 18:00 or 18:30 BST on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra<br/><br />Caroline Wozniacki thrilled the New York crowd with a stunning win over sixth seed Maria Sharapova at the US Open.<br/><br />The Dane, seeded 11th, won 6-4 2-6 6-2 on a stiflingly hot afternoon at Flushing Meadows.<br/><br />Wozniacki, 24, is through to her first Grand Slam quarter-final since 2012, and plays Italy's Sara Errani next.<br/><br />'It means so much to me - it's been a bit up and down for me this year,' said Wozniacki.<br/><br />Roared on by the majority of spectators on Arthur Ashe Stadium, the 2009 finalist looked back to her best as her superb defensive ability proved too much for Sharapova in a pulsating final set.<br/><br />Wozniacki has slipped from the very top of the game in recent years after finishing as year-end world number one in 2010 and 2011, but in recent months there have been signs of a resurgence.<br/><br />A title in Istanbul, a first top-five scalp in three years against Agnieszka Radwanska and twice taking Serena Williams to three sets suggested the Dane could again be a major threat, and beating Sharapova at a Grand Slam is confirmation of that.<br/><br />The Dane made a terrific start, serving well and attacking the net as she moved 3-0 clear, but when Sharapova hauled her way back to 4-4 it seemed her heavier hitting would hold sway.<br/><br />Sharapova has not been at her best in New York, however, and two wild forehand errors gave Wozniacki the first set.<br/><br />It was hardly a crisis for the French Open champion, who leads the standings for three-set wins in 2014 with 17, and she dominated the second set with two breaks to level after nearly two hours.<br/><br />With the temperature soaring, the heat rule was brought into effect and the players given a 10-minute break to leave the court.<br/><br />Sharapova received a time violation on her return as umpire Marija Cicak said she had taken 'way too much time', and early in the final set it was Wozniacki who complained that the Russian was too slow between serves.<br/><br />Fired up and moving brilliantly behind the baseline, Wozniacki grabbed control of the match when she broke to love in a stunning rally at 2-1, chasing down everything Sharapova could throw at her until the Russian dumped a volley in the net.<br/><br />The momentum was with the Dane and she would not flinch as her biggest win in recent memory loomed.<br/><br />Attacking the Sharapova serve once more, Wozniacki stepped in and hammered a backhand winner to convert her first match point.<br/><br />'This has been really great to win today against a champion like Maria,' she added.<br/><br />'I think the first two sets maybe weren't the highest quality, it was really difficult in the wind, but in the third set we picked it up.'<br/><br />Post By http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/tennis/29007704</div>

Hot News: 2014 US Open Fashion Faults

<div xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'><img height="300" src="http://cdn.tennis.com/uploads/wysiwyg/2014/08/31/1408301546567904324_o.jpg" width="100%"/><br/><br /><br/><br />My friend @jessejmiller texted me at the start of this U.S. Open: 'All I want for 2015 is for tennis brands to stop putting women in pink clothes. Overkill.'<br/><br />I'm inclined to agree, as Serena Williams herself has worn pink at the last three Opens. There comes a time to move on, but as so many heroes and sheroes of the game (how Billie Jean King of me)- Federer, Venus, Serena-are hardly fading, they should find themselves in more intriguing attire. The Spin already unveiled the style winners of the U.S. Open, and here now are the sinners. You may find some surprises:<br/><br /><br/><br />Reliably sporting Lacoste, <strong>John Isner</strong> wears a shirt that appears a magnet for oversized pieces of lint.<br/><br />Probably only <strong>Jelena Jankovic</strong> would even attempt to rock this dress by Fila. And only JJ almost gets away with it. Almost.<br/><br /><br/><br /><strong>Ana Ivanovic</strong> oddly wore a little black dress in daytime, as if donning Adidas attire for her own Grand Slam season's funeral. The teal-toned shoes hardly save it, and Kirolina Pliskova ushered her out the door. Ivanovic pal Sorana Cirstea wore the same dress this week, also meeting her tennis end.<br/><br /><br/><br />At least <strong>Maria Sharapova</strong> chooses to wear black by night, where she's 18-0 in Flushing Meadows. Still, the simplified LBD (jarringly paired with pink shoes) from Nike seems out of character for her, a far cry from the Audrey Hepburn-inspired dress she wore while winning the Open in 2006.<br/><br /><br/><br />Let's face it, the 'Darth Federer' fun is played out. <strong>Roger Federer</strong> plays so often by night in New York that Nike should give him something more engaging to wear whilst carving out those strokes of genius.<br/><br /><br/><br />The Spin wants to love <strong>Venus Williams</strong>' dress by her own brand, EleVen by Venus, but the print of that frock replayed all over the visor is just too much.<br/><br /><br/><br />The blue-and-gray panels on <strong>Eugenie Bouchard</strong>'s Nike dress are well and good, but then those dastardly pink shoes happen again. Cut it out, Team Swoosh.<br/><br /><br/><br /><strong>Jo-Wilfried Tsonga</strong> should be able to wear almost anything, but the colors of his Adidas shirt and shoes don't complement his white shorts and hat.<br/><br /><br/><br /><strong>Maria Kirilenko</strong> faced a tall task in the first round, and countrywoman Sharapova gave her a pink slip at USO14. So be it, as the mix of colors on her ( and Flavia Pennetta) just looks unwell. Adidas can do better, especially with these two pros.<br/><br /><br/><br />As mentioned among our fashion winners for this Slam, Uniqlo's night-session look for <strong>Novak Djokovic</strong>: Grade A. The day-time attire? Snooze.<br/><br /><br/><br />Maybe it means he's taking his tennis more seriously, but <strong>Gael Monfils</strong> dons an Asics florescent-green shirt (with black shorts) that makes him look more highwayman than flashy tennis star. I think I miss the bold prints on his tops, even if they also mostly end up on this worst-looks roster.<br/><br /><br/><br />Stella McCartney outfits <strong>Caroline Wozniacki</strong> in a nude dress for Adidas that is all sorts of wrong. The other version of this made my list of bests, but the unnecessary flap on the hip is glaring, and the pink shoes are an afterthought that does no favors. Stella, get thy groove back.<br/><br /><br/><br />Odd how <strong>Andrea Petkovic</strong> and Wozniacki's on-court encounter was such a match-y match. The colorways also do a disservice to Petko's winsome self, thus it became a game of 'Who Wore It Less Worse.'<br/><br /><br/><br /><strong>This fan</strong>. He didn't chicken out, wearing what he wanted, but this shouldn't happen if one has both friends and a mirror.<br/><br /><br/><br /><strong>Andy Murray</strong> has seen a lackluster tennis season by his standards, and it's unfortunate to say, but his gray-and-black Adidas attire in Queens is no aid. Bright sweatbands and shoes can't salvage the look.<br/><br /><br/><br />Similarly, <strong>Fabio Fognini</strong> looks like a villain in his dark Adidas garb.<br/><br /><br/><br /><strong>Marin Cilic</strong>, did a box of black pens leak all over your Li-Ning polo?<br/><br /><br/><br />Let's address <strong>Serena Williams</strong>' pink-cheetah dress. The reverse by Nike was fine, a favorite even, but the day-time take on it, with white-cheetah wristbands, just screams mistake. Serena offered ahead of this major that no one has sported such a print on a pro tennis court before. There may be reason for that.<br/><br /><br/><br />There's not a Lotto good going on with <strong>David Ferrer</strong>'s shirt.<br/><br /><br/><br />Memo to <strong>Ekaterina Makarova</strong> (cc: Lotto)-this ain't Wimbledon, this is New York. <div xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'><img height="300" src="http://usatmmajunkie.files.wordpress.com/2014/06/scott-jorgensen-ufc-fight-night-422.jpg?w=1000" width="100%"/><br/><br />SACRAMENTO - Anthony Birchak and Scott Jorgensen didn't fight at UFC 177, but they're getting paid anyway.<br/><br />The same can't be said for Renan Barao and Henry Cejudo, though.<br/><br />Birchak (11-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) was slated to fight former Bellator MMA champion and fellow UFC newcomer Joe Soto (15-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) on Saturday's UFC 177 preliminary card, which aired on FOX Sports 1 from Sacramento's Sleep Train Arena. Jorgensen (15-9 MMA, 4-5 UFC), meanwhile, was expected to fight UFC newcomer and Olympic gold medalist Cejudo (6-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC). However, after a frantic weigh-day that saw the card shuffled, both bouts fell off the lineup.<br/><br />Soto was forced out of the Birchak bout and promoted to the pay-per-view headliner as a replacement. The UFC newcomer got a shot at UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw after Barao's weight cut went awry and forced him out of the title fight. He put up a good fight but ultimately lost via fifth-round stoppage.<br/><br />Jorgensen, meanwhile, was left without an opponent after Cejudo experienced nausea and cramping and couldn't complete his weight cut.<br/><br />'Barao's not making any money,' UFC President Dana White said (watch the full post-UFC 177 media scrum below). 'I'm not paying Barao. Barao showed up and didn't fight, (and) the other kid (Cejudo) that didn't make weight. The other kids will get paid.'<br/><br />And that includes both the base purse ('show money') and win bonus for Birchak and Jorgensen?<br/><br />'Yeah, of course,' he said.<br/><br />The UFC has a history of compensating such fighters who are late scratches through no fault of their own. They get the financial security of their expected paydays, and they also usually get quickly booked for an upcoming card.<br/><br />As for Barao, his weight-cutting woes have cost him a title shot, and he'll need to win at least another fight before he gets a shot to reclaim the belt.<br/><br />Meanwhile, Cejudo, who has a history of weight-cutting issues, will get another shot in the UFC, but he'll need to move up to bantamweight to get it, according to White.<br/><br />For more on UFC 177, check out the UFC Events section of the site. Hot News: UFC 177 fight card: What's at stake?

<div xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'><img height="300" src="http://cdn1.sbnation.com/images/blog/star-divide.v5e9d7f1.jpg" width="100%"/><br/><br />There is no debate about over saturation any longer. Not simply about its existence, anyway. It's real and there's no room for argument about it. There is space to discuss and uncertainty about what its effects will be, but it isn't the phlogiston of MMA. It's a real phenomenon happening in front of us all with real-world, measurable implications. The conversation about whether we are all imagining things is now over.<br/><br />Here is the fact: the UFC simply doesn't have the roster, as enormous as it is, to meet their current business objectives. Global expansion, an aggressive schedule and injuries do not preclude the UFC from putting on a good show, but it does stop them from doing it consistently. That's true both in terms of being a premium product upholding the value of the brand and as a popular attraction.<br/><br />What has happened to UFC 177 and the product generally is not a function of injuries. Injuries played a role, to be sure. They damage even the best of products, UFC 178 being a clear example. It is fair to acknowledge UFC 177 has suffered because of this. However, the product was of debatable value prior to any injury affecting any bout. There were already groans about the card as the UFC had intended it. Injury has dramatically affected it, but we could be having this conversation had it not, although perhaps with less urgency.<br/><br />What UFC 177 evidences is that a premium product cannot be grown at scale, at least not this quickly. International expansion is a viable idea, but on the current timeline? Does it really make sense to revive Japan, break into China, develop Singapore, crack South Korea, open up larger Latin America, convert Mexico, kickstart Germany, move into France, push Ireland and Sweden while concurrently maintaining an already busy schedule in the United States and Canada (FOX shows, Fox Sports 1 and 2 events, The Ultimate Fighter and more)? If it does, the evidence for it is not clear. It is certainly not without negative consequence.<br/><br />Nothing that is happening here is solely or even predominately an injury issue. Nothing is without a discernible cause. The dots have to be connected. No, the Dublin card or the upcoming Mexico debut didn't cause what's wrong with the UFC 177 card on a one-to-one basis. Nor did the continuation of TUF stateside. Yet, they are not exempt either. There is only so much premium product to go around. There is only so much fertile soil. In the wider practice of how that land is tilled, it is impossible to avoid situations like this if the world's leader in mixed martial arts is intent on pushing in so many other directions at once.<br/><br />Latin America will likely be a big win for the UFC, as it should be. Parts of Asia and Europe will be as well. UFC will deserve the spoils when those markets are ready to convert. They're the ones doing all the investing. When that will happen, though, no one knows for sure. What investment that will take could be enormous and far beyond current projections. As it stands, other segments of the UFC product are suffering as a consequence. In the case of UFC 177, it's on the pay-per-view end. Given pay-per-view's still hugely important role as a revenue driver for the UFC, it seems, at best, imprudent to not treat the space more attentively.<br/><br />We are not imagining over saturation. How it will shape things moving forward is hard to predict. Perhaps matters will stay the same or, more positively, move in a more benign direction. However it moves, though, <i>it moves</i>. It's here. The best outcome possible with UFC 177 is that it leads to steps being taken to address it. T.J. Dillashaw vs. Joe Soto<br/><br /><i>At stake: everything and nothing</i>. What a bizarre contest. On the one hand, Dillashaw has to defend his title against an opponent he should thrash, but hasn't properly prepared for. In a chaotic sport like MMA, that's a perilous place to be. In addition, if he wins, there's very little glory to be had. He'll be showered with appreciation for going through the motions, but Soto's scalp is not a prized one. Not yet, anyway.<br/><br />As for Soto, this is a dream come true. He is at a technical and athletic deficit opposite Dillashaw, but the wind is still at his back. He can fight comfortably, both in a literal and abstract way. He has the ability to fight in the way he prefers knowing he has essentially nothing to lose. Moreover, he's helped UFC brass avoid an event's implosion. Being in their good graces always pays dividends.<br/><br />So, either the result will be utterly expected or will turn what is already a strange event into an historically strange one.<br/><br />Tony Ferguson vs. Danny Castillo<br/><br /><i>At stake: moving into the top 15</i>. Nothing is guaranteed in terms of rankings, especially since many of those voting haven't the slightest clue how to evaluate talent or effectively rank fighters. That said, some calls are easier than others and a big win here by either competitor could put them in a space where they either crack the top 15 of place themselves directly at the precipice of them. Both fighters are capable of throttling lesser lightweights and have given upper-level talent difficult fights, but they lack consistency there. This bout is about establish themselves (or the winner, anyway) as a fighter who deserves consideration as one of the division's best. Bethe Correia vs. Shayna Baszler<br/><br /><i>At stake: title implications, bragging rights and a bit more</i>. These fighters meet in this bout in very different positions. Correira is doing quite well. She's also manage to market herself interestingly by positioning herself against Ronda Rousey and her training partners. By attaching herself to them, she's not only increased her visibility, but upped the stakes of each bout considerably, at least on the positive end of things. If she gets past Baszler, it's not inconceivable she could claim a title shot in what is a relatively weak women's bantamweight division. The merit is there as is the storyline. It's a clever play on the part of the Brazilian.<br/><br />As for Baszler, this is a fight she needs essentially to stay relevant. That's true both in terms of being an accomplished fighter and promotable entity. After an underwhelming run on The Ultimate Fighter but with the backing of Rousey, Baszler needs to show up here if she is leverage the wind at her back and maintain her reputation. Ramsey Nijem vs. Diego Ferreira<br/><br /><i>At stake: main card placement</i>. Neither of these fighters are necessarily knocking on the door of much in terms of being elite, but Nijem is usable as a main card competitor. He has tenure in the UFC as well as awareness built from his run on The Ultimate Fighter. If he'd like to compete in spaces where there are more eyeballs, winning here is relatively critical. As for Ferreira, he had a sensational finish of Colton Smith, but beyond those who've scouted his previous fights on YouTube or watched live on AXSTV, not much is known about him. This is his chance to begin developing his own identity and stake his claim in terms of where he is in the pecking order in the UFC's lightweight division.<br/><br />Yancy Medeiros vs. Damon Jackson<br/><br /><i>At stake: a roster spot.</i> There's not much to this bout. When I say what's at stake is a roster spot, I'm not necessarily suggesting the loser will be cut, especially since this is Jackson's UFC debut. Instead, this is about winning long enough and well enough to merit a fulfillment of their contract. Medeiros, though, is coming off of a loss. Already she had taken a rocket ride through the women's tour, winning her first WTA title in Nuremberg, earning a spot in the semi-finals of the first three majors and making the final at Wimbledon, where she lost to Petra Kvitova. After taking two weeks off right after Wimbledon to rest from a long stretch of tennis, she was bound to be rusty.<br/><br />The question was: could she gear herself back up for one last push to the end of the season?<br/><br />NEW YORK - After her recent starring role on Centre Court at Wimbledon, Canadian Eugenie Bouchard hopes to become a headliner in New York.<br/><br />Bouchard, from Westmount, Que., and men's fifth seed Milos Raonic, from Thornhill, Ont., are Canada's last representatives in the singles fields at the U.S. Open.<br/><br />The 20-year-old Bouchard, the only woman to have reached the semi-finals or better of the three Grand Slams played this season, will have a third-round weekend date with Czech veteran Barbora Zahlavova Strycova, the WTA No. 29 whom the Canadian has defeated in previous meetings in Osaka last autumn and in Nurnberg on clay this spring.<br/><br />Bouchard's love of the spotlight seems to be a perfect fit for the rowdy New York crowd, which has been known to make its loves and hates known in direct fashion through only-in-Gotham screams of encouragement at any time in a match.<br/><br />She got a taste of that atmosphere when she beat Romanian Sorana Cirstea 6-2, 6-7 (4), 6-4 in the second round Thursday.<br/><br />The cultural opposite of the sedate and polite Wimbledon crowds, New York's beer-fuelled masses never hesitate to make their presence known to players.<br/><br />That's more than fine with Bouchard.<br/><br />'I heard some [shouts] vaguely,' she said of her opening match on the big stage at Arthur Ashe stadium. 'I really try to block it out and zone in.<br/><br />'I just felt there was noise all the time. The changeovers were like a party scene on the court, the loud music, the fans. It was definitely an entertainment type of experience.<br/><br />'I think that's really cool for the fans to get into it. But I definitely felt the support out there. It's really cool playing in such a huge stadium. It's like nothing else, I guess.'<br/><br />Bouchard said that even late starting times and post-midnight finishes are all a part of the particular ambience.<br/><br />'It's part of the U.S. Open experience. You don't get there at the French Open or Wimbledon,' she said.<br/><br />'It's exciting, I would be fine playing at midnight, that would be cool.'<br/><br />Bouchard is expecting a battle from Zahlavova Strycova, but the Canadian said she will be ready.<br/><br />'She definitely doesn't hit it as hard [as Cirstea],' Bouchard said. 'She can get a lot of balls back. I'll try to be more aggressive, that will be my main goal in my next match.'<br/><br />Raonic, meanwhile, remains outwardly unimpressed by the backstory to his opponent, Victor Estrella Burgos of the Dominican Republic.<br/><br />The 34-year-old Burgos is the oldest debutant in U.S. Open history. But instead of taking notice of the 80th-ranked Dominican's boisterous local fan base, or the story of the one-time ball boy who quit the sport for five years only to return for one last try, it will be tennis business as usual for the serious-minded Raonic.<br/><br />'I played him 2010. I saved a few match points in a Davis Cup match against him,' Raonic said.<br/><br />'Things are very different now. We were both a similar ranking at that time - probably 400, maybe 300s at that time, getting close to 200.<br/><br />'I broke through later that fall. Now I'm whatever it is and he's a top 100 player. That match, considering what's going to happen in two days, has almost no value.'<br/><br />Raonic will not be intimidated by the vocal fans that even Burgos had to try and control in his second-round New York win.<br/><br />'I've been in a lot of difficult situations, playing Davis Cup in Serbia, all these kind of things,' Raonic said. 'Her condition remains serious but she is receiving the best treatment and care possible. We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts as we pray for her recovery.'<br/><br />A law enforcement official told CNN that Rivers stopped breathing during throat surgery. Her show was over an hour long and she never stumbled or even paused to catch her breath.'<br/><br />(CNN) Joan Rivers was rushed to the hospital Thursday morning after she stopped breathing a source confirmed to CNN.<br/><br />TMZ reported that the comedienne was undergoing a procedure on her vocal cords in a clinic when the incident occurred. Rivers, 81, was then rushed to a New York hospital.<br/><br />In 2013, Rivers allowed cameras to record a health scare for her and her daughter's reality show, 'Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best?'<br/><br />Rivers said on the show that doctors found a spot on an x-ray after she had a persistent cough.<br/><br />'We're just not going to be sad about this,' Rivers said during the episode. 'We're gonna do jokes and be up until we know. That's how I deal with things. I'm not just gonna sit around the next couple of days and go crazy.'<br/><br />Rivers has been open about her health issues. She was diagnosed with osteoporosis in 2002 after a fall down some stairs left her with broken bones, and she became an advocate for screenings for women.<br/><br />She also admitted to not being as healthy as she could.<br/><br />'I try not to be, but I'm a terrible eater,' she said. 'I wish I could say I eat super-healthy, but I don't. Photo: Supplied<br/><br />Playboy covergirl Brandi Brandt has been sentenced to at least three and a half years in prison in NSW for her role in a cocaine importation conspiracy.<br/><br />Brandt, best known for her failed marriage to Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx, was involved in a brazen US-Australia cocaine importation syndicate that hid packages of the drugs in toilets on passenger planes bound for Sydney in 2007.<br/><br />She pleaded guilty to conspiring to import more than two kilograms of the drug and transferring more than 70 thousand dollars into bank accounts over the sale.<br/><br />In sentencing Brandt on Friday, Judge Peter Zahra said her role in the criminal enterprise was 'substantially lower' than her co-accused, including her former lover and stuntman Rusty Setser.<br/><br />He could not be satisfied, he said, that she ever touched the drug packages or was aware of the quantities involved.<br/><br />Sydney's District Court heard that the 45-year-old's childhood had been beset with drug use.<br/><br />Her mother, Maria 'Brie' Darling, was a musician and as a child Brandt was surrounded by drug use.<br/><br />By the time she was 12 or 13, Brandt herself had begun to abuse drink and drugs, and went off to live with her father.<br/><br />While she was sober during her marriage to Sixx, the court heard the relationship's breakdown saw her return to drugs and alcohol.<br/><br />Her subsequent relationship with Setser was marred by violence and heavy drug use, with Brandt telling a psychologist he was a 'ticking time bomb' and that he encouraged her to 'use more'.<br/><br />The long-haired brunette was involved in the conspiracy to import cocaine for a brief period in November 2007.<br/><br />By 2009, Brandt was aware that authorities were interested in her and the fear of arrest was a 'significant emotional burden', Judge Zahra said.<br/><br />She was finally extradited from the US to Sydney in 2013.<br/><br />Judge Zahra said she had good prospects of rehabilitation and was unlikely to reoffend.<br/><br />He sentenced her to a maximum of six years.<br/><br />She will be eligible for parole in November 2016. Already she had taken a rocket ride through the women's tour, winning her first WTA title in Nuremberg, earning a spot in the semi-finals of the first three majors and making the final at Wimbledon, where she lost to Petra Kvitova. After taking two weeks off right after Wimbledon to rest from a long stretch of tennis, she was bound to be rusty.<br/><br />The question was: could she gear herself back up for one last push to the end of the season?<br/><br />NEW YORK - After her recent starring role on Centre Court at Wimbledon, Canadian Eugenie Bouchard hopes to become a headliner in New York.<br/><br />Bouchard, from Westmount, Que., and men's fifth seed Milos Raonic, from Thornhill, Ont., are Canada's last representatives in the singles fields at the U.S. Open.<br/><br />The 20-year-old Bouchard, the only woman to have reached the semi-finals or better of the three Grand Slams played this season, will have a third-round weekend date with Czech veteran Barbora Zahlavova Strycova, the WTA No. 29 whom the Canadian has defeated in previous meetings in Osaka last autumn and in Nurnberg on clay this spring.<br/><br />Bouchard's love of the spotlight seems to be a perfect fit for the rowdy New York crowd, which has been known to make its loves and hates known in direct fashion through only-in-Gotham screams of encouragement at any time in a match.<br/><br />She got a taste of that atmosphere when she beat Romanian Sorana Cirstea 6-2, 6-7 (4), 6-4 in the second round Thursday.<br/><br />The cultural opposite of the sedate and polite Wimbledon crowds, New York's beer-fuelled masses never hesitate to make their presence known to players.<br/><br />That's more than fine with Bouchard.<br/><br />'I heard some [shouts] vaguely,' she said of her opening match on the big stage at Arthur Ashe stadium. 'I really try to block it out and zone in.<br/><br />'I just felt there was noise all the time. The changeovers were like a party scene on the court, the loud music, the fans. It was definitely an entertainment type of experience.<br/><br />'I think that's really cool for the fans to get into it. But I definitely felt the support out there. It's really cool playing in such a huge stadium. It's like nothing else, I guess.'<br/><br />Bouchard said that even late starting times and post-midnight finishes are all a part of the particular ambience.<br/><br />'It's part of the U.S. Open experience. You don't get there at the French Open or Wimbledon,' she said.<br/><br />'It's exciting, I would be fine playing at midnight, that would be cool.'<br/><br />Bouchard is expecting a battle from Zahlavova Strycova, but the Canadian said she will be ready.<br/><br />'She definitely doesn't hit it as hard [as Cirstea],' Bouchard said. 'She can get a lot of balls back. I'll try to be more aggressive, that will be my main goal in my next match.'<br/><br />Raonic, meanwhile, remains outwardly unimpressed by the backstory to his opponent, Victor Estrella Burgos of the Dominican Republic.<br/><br />The 34-year-old Burgos is the oldest debutant in U.S. Open history. Hot News: The NFL's Uneven History Of Punishing Domestic Violence

She falls to her knees, and then to the floor, but her feet prevent the doors from closing. The man is holding the woman's purse as he tries to move her unconscious body out of the way using his feet, but she won't budge. He tries picking her up again, but unconscious bodies can be heavy, even for a 5-foot-8, 208-pound running back in the National Football League. Then the video ends.<br/><br />That video, showing the aftermath of an altercation between Ray Rice and his then-girlfriend (now wife), Janay Palmer, made the rounds this NFL offseason as if it were a Zapruder film. Prompted by the video and an arrest, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Rice, a star running back for the Baltimore Ravens, for two games, citing personal interviews with Rice and Palmer and the league's personal conduct policy.<br/><br />But the punishment felt incommensurate with the crime. 'It's a joke, and a bad one,' ESPN columnist Jane McManus wrote. How was it possible that Rice was given two games, many exclaimed, when players had been suspended six games for cheating on a test for performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) and entire seasons for repeatedly smoking marijuana?<br/><br />'We can't just make up the discipline,' Goodell said at a press conference after issuing Rice's suspension. 'It has to be consistent with other cases and it was consistent with other cases.'<br/><br />On Thursday, Goodell announced a new discipline policy. In a letter to all 32 team owners obtained by ESPN, Goodell wrote that the league fell short in its treatment of the Rice case. 'Effective immediately, violations of the Personal Conduct Policy regarding assault, battery, domestic violence or sexual assault that involve physical force will be subject to a suspension without pay of six games for a first offense, with consideration given to mitigating factors, as well as a longer suspension when circumstances warrant.' (This will not affect Rice's current suspension.) A second offense will result in a ban from the league, with the opportunity to apply for reinstatement after one year.<br/><br />A six-game suspension, according to data collected by FiveThirtyEight, would be four times what the average suspension has been for domestic violence and an unprecedented consequence for a first offense of any kind. The ban from the league after a repeat offense would be the harshest punishment for all second-time offenders.<br/><br />Following the Rice incident, I went looking for every NFL suspension issued in the league's 94-year history. I wanted to understand how violations like Rice's, the ones unrelated to steroid or substance abuse, were determined. If domestic abuse warranted two games, what kinds of conduct violations warranted five games? Eight games? An entire season? I assumed that someone - if not the governing body itself - must keep track of every player suspended, why he was suspended, and the length of the suspension. I was wrong.<br/><br />When I contacted the NFL, a spokeswoman, Darlene Capiro, responded by email, 'We do not have a comprehensive list.' Several of my colleagues at ESPN and Grantland who report on the NFL were unaware of any complete data set. The ESPN Stats & Information group also did not have this information in its entirety, only selected incidents. A spokesman for the NFL Players Association, George Atallah, said the union had at least some of the data but did not provide it after repeated requests.<br/><br />And so I cobbled it together myself, with the help of the San Diego Union-Tribune's NFL arrests database, a Wikipedia list dating back to 1947, and the Spotrac suspension tracker. I found 263 incidents in that process, and verified suspensions using news reports, while making note of the reason for the suspension and the number of games the player ultimately missed. The data isn't perfect, but it's a good start.<br/><br />Once I'd categorized the offenses and the corresponding games missed, I had hard evidence of what many already suspected: The NFL's punishment of personal conduct violations has been inconsistent and on average less harsh than its punishment of drug offenses.<br/><br />Note that the tallest peaks occur in the two charts on PEDs; more than 90 percent of first-time offenders receive a suspension of four games and 100 percent of repeat offenders receive a suspension of eight games. There's little question about the number of games a player will be forced to miss for using steroids because the length of the suspension is specifically outlined in league policy.<br/><br />Substance abuse violations are not as consistently punished as PED violations, but 68 percent of first-time offenders receive four games and almost 75 percent of second-time offenders receive one year, per league policy.<br/><br />Contrast that with the greater variation in the length of suspensions for personal conduct violations. This catchall category includes everything from murder to unsanctioned in - game violence to embarrassing the league on social media.<br/><br />Since 2002 (the first instance I could find), 38 percent of conduct violators received a one-game suspension. In this group are Larry Johnson, who spit his drink in a woman's face, and Ricky Manning, Jr., who assaulted a man outside a Denny's restaurant. Another 19 percent of players received two games, among them Jeremy Bridges, who pointed a gun at a stripper. Marshawn Lynch was among the 21 percent of players to receive a three-game suspension - after he was arrested for having a gun in his car. Even fewer players - 13 percent - received four games, and their cases ranged from sexual assault to multiple DUI arrests. The longest suspension went to Adam 'Pacman' Jones, who was suspended 20 games (the entire 2007 season and the first four games of 2008) for numerous arrests and altercations with the police.<br/><br />The difference in the NFL's treatment of drug and conduct violations is a result of the league's collective bargaining agreement. The CBA does not mention the Personal Conduct Policy, but does explicitly refer to the Policy and Program For Substances of Abuse. The disparity is evident even when you compare the two documents. The one covering drugs is 32 pages. The other, three.<br/><br />The league's new regulations are meant to bridge that gap. For years, there has been clear guidance on how to handle drug offenses but no prescription for violent, off-field offenses. Now there will be, and if a player commits a second act of violence, it 'will result in banishment from the NFL.' An appeals process is available, but the player must wait a year.<br/><br />There were only four previous lifetime bans in my database - three were for repeated substance abuse, one was for gambling. For comparison, Donte Stallworth, who pleaded guilty to DUI manslaughter in 2009, was out of the league for a year.<br/><br />The previous inconsistency in punishment of domestic violence became clear when I looked at the 53 personal conduct violations that the league has issued since 2002. The average number of games suspended for all personal conduct violations was 3.0. For the 15 cases of domestic violence that had been punished under the old, nonspecific guidelines, the average number of games suspended was 1.5.<br/><br />The baseline suspension is now six games, assuming Goodell doesn't reduce it because of 'mitigating factors.' That means any domestic violence suspension going forward will double the previous record for any domestic violence punishment. The NFL will now take it more seriously when a player beats a woman than when he's caught smoking a joint. <i>The full data set is in a searchable table below. She did not elaborate on the 81-year-old comedian's condition. She offered thanks for an outpouring of 'love and support' and asked for continuing thoughts and prayers.<br/><br />The Mount Sinai Hospital did not immediately respond to request for comment Friday. On Thursday, hospital spokesman Sid Dinsay confirmed that Rivers had been taken there in the morning.<br/><br />New York City police officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to publicly name Rivers, said she was taken to the hospital just after 9:30 a.m. Thursday. It was unclear why she was visiting the doctor's office. Health concerns put show on hold<br/><br />The comedian with a half-century of show business under her belt has spawned a reputation for often-snarky red carpet fashion commentary. A show she had scheduled Friday at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, New Jersey, has been postponed.<br/><br />Rivers spoke at an employee event at Time Inc. in New York on Wednesday night and appeared healthy, practically jogging when she walked in to take her seat, Shira Blum, an online project manager, said Thursday.<br/><br />'She seemed totally healthy,' Blum said. 'She was very energetic, hilarious, funny. And it was such a shock, a surprise to hear the news this morning.'<br/><br />Rivers took questions and said she wakes up every morning and 'is thankful that everything works,' Blum said. 'Donate my body to Tupperware'<br/><br />An early and outspoken proponent of cosmetic surgery, Rivers' drastically altered her appearance over the years - and found plenty of material for jokes. And by everyone else, we mean the rest of the world, because the veteran actor wasn't actually invited.<br/><br />Questioned about the nuptials on Thursday morning (28 August), Voight apparently told TMZ that he first read about them via an online news site.<br/><br />Asked whether he was upset not to be invited, he responded by saying he was busy with the Emmy Awards anyway, having been nominated for a prize for his portrayal of the character Mickey Donovan in TV series Ray Donovan.<br/><br />Jolie and Voight have endured a turbulent relationship in the past. Can you take back the fire of anti-Semitism that is raging all over the world now?<br/><br />'You have been able to become famous and have all your monetary gains because you are in a democratic country: America. Do you think you would have been able to accomplish this in Iran, Syria, Lebanon, et cetera?<br/><br />'You had a great responsibility to use your celebrity for good. <div xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'><img height="300" src="http://static01.nyt.com/images/2014/08/29/sports/29rhoden/29rhoden-master675.jpg" width="100%"/><br/><br /><br/><br />The most stunning aspect of the N.F.L.'s new policy on domestic violence is that the league, through Commissioner Roger Goodell, admitted that it had made a mistake.<br/><br />The N.F.L. never admits it makes a mistake.<br/><br />Never.<br/><br />Not in labor negotiations when it locks out players, not in the face of abysmal performances by officials and not when it gives a star running back a love tap after evidence that he brutalized his fiancée.<br/><br />In a letter to team owners released on Thursday, Goodell wrote: 'My disciplinary decision led the public to question our sincerity, our commitment and whether we understood the toll that domestic violence inflicts on so many families. I take responsibility both for the decision and for ensuring that our actions in the future properly reflect our values. I didn't get it right. Simply put, we have to do better. And we will.'<br/><br />Better late than never, I suppose. But why so late?<br/><br />Perhaps because the N.F.L.'s moral high ground is so low.<br/><br />After issuing a two-game suspension to Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice, Goodell simultaneously played offense and defense, spinning rationale after rationale for allowing Rice to get back to running.<br/><br />In cases of racism, sexism and homophobia, we tend to argue for our limitations. Goodell was no exception.<br/><br />Speaking to reporters at the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio, this month, Goodell insisted that he had made the right call. He said that the important thing was to be consistent with other penalties that had been issued.<br/><br />All the while, he seemed to ignore the disturbing footage of a star player dragging his unconscious fiancée out of a casino elevator.<br/><br />'We have to remain consistent,' Goodell said at the time. 'We can't just make up the discipline. It has to be consistent with other cases, and it was in this matter.'<br/><br />Goodell pointed out that Rice had never been in trouble before, ignoring that a first-time offense hadn't made Rice's fiancée any less unconscious.<br/><br />Besides, Rice was remorseful.<br/><br />'You know, you have a lot of people voicing their opinions,' Goodell said, 'but I think it's important to understand that this is a young man who made a terrible mistake.'<br/><br />He declared that Rice's actions had been 'inconsistent with what we're all about, and we've dealt with it in a serious manner, and we're very confident that this young man understands where he is and what he needs to do going forward.'<br/><br />The leader of any organization sets a tone of tolerance or intolerance. In issuing such a light reprimand in the form of a two-game suspension, and then stridently defending his decision, Goodell made the abuse of women in a male-dominated sport seem like a misdemeanor. He opened the door for less-than-enlightened commentators to suggest that the woman might have provoked her treatment.<br/><br />On Thursday, facing an undercurrent of outrage that showed no signs of subsiding, with the possibility of demonstrations and even boycotts, Goodell did an about-face. What's galling about his sudden turnabout is that we see the same intransigence in other areas.<br/><br />In the face of mounting criticism from American Indians and others, Goodell insists that there is nothing racist about the Washington team's nickname, that the majority of fans support it, and that he sides with the team's owner, Dan Snyder, on that issue.<br/><br />For all the lip service Goodell and the N.F.L. paid about the evils of bullying last season, the commissioner will allow Richie Incognito to wear an N.F.L. uniform this season.<br/><br />And while the league has agreed to settle with thousands of former players in concussion-related lawsuits, the league has yet to come clean - as the tobacco industry did - and admit that the violence of its game is at the root of short- and long-term debilitating injuries.<br/><br />Still, the N.F.L. finally admitted that it was wrong about something. I got a little bit caught up,' he said. 'I didn't focus on my stuff. I was getting a little too caught up in him rather than focusing on myself.' Difficult conditions<br/><br />Raonic, from Thornhill, Ont., improved his New York record to 8-3 as he plays for the fourth time in five years after missing 2011 after his hip surgery.<br/><br />Conditions were difficult for both players in the wind, but Raonic said the weather 'didn't really matter.'<br/><br />'You just have to deal with things as they come and find a way to win,' he said. 'It could have been perfectly calm today and been a different story.'<br/><br />Raonic took the 52-minute opening set in a tiebreaker as Gojowczyk landed a forehand long.<br/><br />But the 124th-ranked German fought back to level by winning the second set after losing a 3-1 lead but breaking in the final game. 'She stopped breathing.<br/><br />'This was not major surgery,' the source said, adding that River was sedated while undergoing the operation but it was unclear what medication was used.<br/><br />New York police confirmed that a 911 call came in around 9:30 a.m. local time reporting cardiac and respiratory arrest.<br/><br />Rivers was initially listed in critical condition but since been upgraded.<br/><br />E! News, in a small chapel in a private ceremony attended by family and friends. Prior to the nondenominational civil ceremony, the movie stars obtained a marriage license from a local California judge, who also conducted the wedding ceremony in France.<br/><br />This got us thinking-how did they pull it off? And picking the perfect location. A source close to the couple tells E! News the wedding planning has been going on for a while, and the duo made sure to conduct their special ceremony right in between Jolie's shooting schedule in Europe.<br/><br />'Angelina purposely planned this so it would happen between the pre-production and production of her ner new film in Malta because it meant they would be in Europe,' the insider tells us. 'They always wanted to have this wedding at the chapel at Miraval. That is their family home, it is where the children and them are at their happiest...There was never a question of this ceremony taking place anywhere else.'<br/><br />Additionally, it was very convenient that the couple decided to tie the knot over Emmys weekend! <strong>LOOK: Check out Brad Pitt flashing his wedding ring for the first time!</strong><br/><br />Chelsea Lauren/WireImage<br/><br />Most of their celeb pals, including <strong>Julia Roberts</strong>, were busy gearing up for the big red carpet on Monday. Meanwhile, Pitt's bromance partner <strong>George Clooney</strong> was in Italy shooting a commercial. Additionally, since their wedding took place overseas wasn't announced until after the weekend, it was too late for the weekly mags to pick up the story. Sneaky, sneaky!<br/><br /><strong>Other Celeb Weddings on the Radar:</strong> Speaking of Clooney, his upcoming nuptials to fiancée <strong>Amal Alamuddin</strong> have taken over wedding watch in recent months, serving as a great distraction for Brangelina to make it official.<br/><br />'How great is that?! I'm really happy for Brad and Angie and their whole family,' Clooney said in response to Pitt and Jolie's secret wedding. Interestingly enough, Angelina predicted that George and Amal would be tying the not before she and Brad exchanged vows! In a May 2014 interview with Entertainment Weekly, the mom of six was asked which couple would marry first. Angelina's reply? 'They debated whether they would be able to invite more people but ultimately decided the most important thing was to have a private family wedding and then news not to get out in any way.'<br/><br />In fact, a second source tells us that their ceremony only included 22 people! 'The only guests were Brad's family from the states-his mom and dad, <strong>Bill</strong> and <strong>Jane Pitt</strong>; his brother, <strong>Doug</strong>; sister <strong>Julie</strong>; and their kids- <strong>Maddox</strong>, 13, <strong>Pax</strong>, 11, <strong>Zahara</strong>, 9, <strong>Shiloh</strong>, 8, and twins <strong>Knox</strong> and <strong>Viviennne</strong>, 6-so it was no more than 22 people in total.'<br/><br />Jolie's father <strong>Jon Voight</strong> was not in attendance, but said in a statement to E! News earlier today, 'It sounds like it was a wonderful wedding. It must have been very beautiful with the kids participating. I know it was during Emmy weeks and they were able to do it very quietly.
