UPDATE, 2:22 PM: The final numbers are in and Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. has seen a rise of two tenths for the second week in a row. While still down from last week's 2.0/6, last night's 1.9/6 is not the ABC's superspy agency drama's series low as preliminary numbers indicated. S.H.I.E.L.D.'s all time low was a 1.8 on March 4 this year. NBC's also had some adjustments in its line-up with The Voice up a tenth to 2.9/9 to tie a regularly scheduled show low, and Chicago Fire down a tenth each for the latter to hit a season low. PREVIOUS, 9:05 AM: After tease after tease this season, Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. (1.7/6) last night finally plunged full force into the greater Marvel Universe with a crossover to Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Even with the heavily promoted crossover, plus betrayals and revelations galore, the superspy agency series didn't see the blockbuster results of the just-released superhero pic. Although even with last week's preliminary ratings, S.H.I.E.L.D. fell 15% in adults 18-49 compared with its April 1 final fast nationals to hit a series low. Having said that, the freshman show is regularly given to rising a tenth or so in the final numbers, so an adjustment could be coming later today. S.H.I.E.L.D. is also getting an extra bit of juice next week when ABC plans to show last night's episode again and an original back-to-back. With S.H.I.E.L.D. kicking off the night down, the rest of ABC's Tuesday saw The Goldbergs (1.4/4) dip 7% from last week and Trophy Wife (0.8/2) fall 20% as both tied series lows.

The playoffs began on The Voice (2.8/9) last night but it wasn't just contestants getting trimmed. NBC's one-hour singing competition slipped 10% from last week to hit a series low for a regularly scheduled episode, though it still was the highest-rated show of the night. Like at ABC, that dip looks to have had a domino effect on the rest of NBC's night: Newbie (1.8/5) was also down 10% from last week to hit a new low, while fellow freshman Growing Up Fisher (1.5/4) slipped 6% for its lowest result so far. Ending the night for the network, Chicago Fire (1.9/5) halted the slippage by staying even with its last original March 18. Still, NBC took the top spot in the key demo last night with a 2.1/6 rating. CBS was a close second with a 2.0/6 rating but it finished first with 13.19 million total viewers.

There wasn't any more of the upcoming New Orleans-based spinoff on NCIS (2.6/8) last night, but the show did see a 4% rise over the April 1 episode's season low. Like last week, the long-running procedural was the night's most-watched show with an audience of 17.18 million and was close behind The Voice for the night's highest-rated broadcast. On the flip side, NCIS: LA saw a slip of 4% from last week.

After tying a series low last week, the 103rd episode ofwas up 11% from its April 1 episode. With another double dose for a second week in a row, The Mindy Project had a mixed result last night. With its lead-in up, the special 9 PM (1.0/3) broadcast was at least even with last week's cratering results among 18-49s but up 21% in total viewers to 2.3 million. The 9:30 PM (1.1/3) episode saw a 10% boost in the demo from last week with a 26% audience rise to 2.4 million.
