Good Friday is a day off for most of us, but not for all of us.
It is a statutory holiday so banks, government offices and the malls are all closed. That means no mail delivery, of course. The LCBO and Beer Stores are also closed Friday and on Easter Sunday.
But there are plenty of things to do around the city on this Good Friday. There's an Easter Party and Egg Hunt at Storybook Gardens. Events are going on between 10am and 5pm, and include storytime and several egg hunts.
The annual Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs is on at Fleetwood Farms, 9282 Elviage Dr. Registration begins at 9:30am and the hunt starts at 11am. Cost is $25 per family.
The 33rd annual Spring Arts and Crafts Show and Sale is on at the Western Fair District. Admission is $6 and the show is on from 11am-6pm on Good Friday.
