To promote his new album Mandatory Fun, 'Weird Al' Yankovic is releasing a new music video every day. (You could say he's pulling a Beyoncé, if not for the fact that Yankovic did it first.)
Wednesday's video is 'Foil', a spoof of Lorde's 'Royals' that illuminates many of the helpful properties of tinfoil. Yankovic begins by explaining how the material can protect your leftovers and then goes on from there. (Any more information would probably spoil it - no pun intended.)
In case you missed them, Monday's parody was a spoof of Pharrell's 'Happy', while Tuesday's was a grammer-centric spoof of 'Blurred Lines' called 'Word Crimes.'
Among the lessons presented in the latter, 'Weird Al' teaches viewers about the difference between 'less' and 'fewer', as well as when you should use an apostrophe in 'Its' - only when it's a contraction, not when its function is possessive.
Though the song is full of lessons, 'Word Crimes' sidesteps one of the biggest literary disputes of our time. 'I don't want your drama if you really wanna leave out that Oxford comma,' he sings.
