The cause is currently unknown
VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) Train service for the Expo and Millennium trains completely shut down just after noon on Monday, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded.
Jiana Ling from Translink says they don't yet know why the trains have suffered a complete system failure.
'All trains on the Expo and Millennium are on hold. People who are passengers who are stuck on the trains are currently being manually being moved to the closest platform and all other passengers will be escorted out of the station.'
'At this point we are looking at applying bus bridges. [We need] more information about what the issue is before we can find some solutions....we are trying to find more information,' she adds.
