Hot News: Lea Michele Honors Cory Monteith After 100th 'Glee' Episode

Episode 100 of 'Glee' brought back the original New Directions and was quite the celebration, but of course it also paid tribute to its fallen member. During the episode, not only did the glee club remember Finn, but Lea Michele remembered Cory by posting a sweet Instagram pic.

To celebrate hitting the 100th episode on March 18, Lea Michele began posting pics from the cast over the years - one of her on the first day of filming, one of her with some of the cast in 2008, and then one in front of a billboard in 2009 - with Cory Monteith. 'Glee billboard 2009,' Lea captioned the pic on Instagram. It was a collage - one of her and Dianna Agron and one of her with Cory in front of a billboard. In the pic, Lea looks extremely excited, as does Cory - he has his arms out at his side, like he's jumping up and down. It's absolutely precious.

During the 100th episode, the original glee club members returned to McKinley, and at the end they gathered in the auditorium around a plaque of Finn. Mr. Schuester ( Matthew Morrison) began crying during a speech thanking the club for all they had done. While it was a show, all of the members were definitely crying real tears.

Lea's character Rachel was actually taking deep breaths trying to control the tears and it was extremely emotional of course, because while the characters lost Finn, the actors lost their friend Cory. 'Glee' 100 Without Cory - Cast & Crew Speak Out

It wasn't easy to film such a huge milestone without their leader, executive producer Brad Falchuck revealed in an interview.

'It's emotional. It'd odd doing this song without Cory,' Brad told The Hollywood Reporter about filming the 'Don't Stop Believin'' number, which will air next week. 'You notice it. I notice it. There is a feeling when you hear that song and see all those people singing it that you really get a sense of what's come before it.'

At the celebration for the episode, the cast remembered Cory. 'They honor him beautifully,' Amber Riley told Access Hollywood. 'He was a brother to us and we love him.'

'Finn is honored in every episode, he's always with us and he's always here. We always laugh about things he would say or do,' Jenna Ushkowitz added. 'He's definitely mentioned more than usual.'

However Matthew Morrison, who was extremely close with Cory, took the chance to remember the first time he ever filmed with Cory.

'I still remember the first scene we ever shot for this show was me and Cory,' he told TVLine. 'I just remember that moment, and I don't know why, but that's the moment that's kind of sticking out the most for me today - just that first scene we ever shot for Glee.'
