TORONTO - Commuters and motorists are being advised to expect significant delays on the roads and highways as a snow system moves its way through the Greater Toronto Area Thursday morning.
Many parts of southern Ontario, including the Toronto area, are under a snowfall advisory with accumulations of up to 10 centimetres in some regions.
Kingston to the Ottawa area and also the Niagara region can expect up to 15 cm.
Snowfall warnings are in place for Georgian Bay to the Algonquin and North Bay areas.
The weather office says gusty northerly winds moving in with the system could reduce visibility.
Motorists are being reminded to use caution on the roads and to keep a safe distance between vehicles.
Visibility is reduced during a snow storm. Drivers please look out for pedestrians and cyclists during the morning commute.
