Earlier Bette took to the red carpet in a stunning red dress and no one in the audience at the 86th Academy Awards could have known then the treat they were in for later on in the night.

Bette captivated audience members, as always, with her glowing smile, and beautiful voice. The former Oscar nominee and diva sang 'Wind Beneath My Wings' as a tribute song to all the actors and actresses that have recently passed away. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. One of the actors mentioned in the tribute by the academy was The Fast And The Furious Star, Paul Walker, 40. Paul tragically died in a car accident on Nov. 30. Unfortunately, he was in the middle of filming for the next installation of the franchise.

Bette earned a pair of best actress Oscar nominations for her roles in The Rose in 1979 and For The Boys in 1991.
