A Tuesday funeral is planned in Toronto for 20-year-old Saginaw Spirit forward Terry Trafford.
Ward Funeral Home says visitation is Sunday and Monday in Toronto.
Saginaw Spirit President Craig Goslin tells the Saginaw News the team plans to travel to the visitation Sunday.
Police have said Trafford died of self-inflicted asphyxiation inside his car parked outside a Wal-Mart store in Michigan. The Toronto native's body was found March 12. He disappeared eight days earlier after receiving discipline from the club.
At one point in the search, police said they believed Trafford, a centre with the Spirit, might have left the state to return to his hometown of Toronto.
His girlfriend previously told The Saginaw News that he was devastated after the team sent him home 'for partying on a road trip.'
Trafford had been living with team president Craig Goslin and the News reported Thursday that Goslin told a news conference that 'none of us saw this coming.'
'Everybody around Terry that loved him, the coaches, the players, former players, his billets; none of us ever saw any sign of depression,' Goslin said. 'If he had depression, he certainly had it hidden pretty deep.'
The Ontario Hockey League postponed the Spirit's game on Wednesday so the team could mourn his death.
The game will take place Monday, ending its regular season.
