It would appear that one of the longest-running melodramas in Canadian sports has come to an end: The Vancouver Canucks have reportedly traded goaltender Roberto Luongo.

No official announcement has been made.
Luongo, 34, has long been the subject of trade rumours in Vancouver, where debate and controversy has become his orbit. The debate resumed over the weekend when the team gave Eddie Lack the start ahead of Luongo in the Heritage Classic at B.C. Place.
