The Florida Panthers will have the first crack at this year's crop of prospects with the No. 1 overall pick in Friday's NHL entry draft, while the Edmonton Oilers will be the first Canadian team to make a pick at No. 3.
Scouts say there is no sure superstar in this year's draft, but Dan Marr, director of NHL Central Scouting, said there's something for everyone.
'There's a lot of players at various positions. It's not dominated by defence like some of the past drafts have been,' Marr told the Canadian Press.
