Andy Murray's quest for a second successive title begins at 1pm against Belgium's David Goffin

Andy Murray is the first on Centre Court today as he begins the defence of the Wimbledon crown he won last year.

The Scotsman became the first British player to win the men's singles title at Wimbledon in 77 years in last year's competition and his quest for a second title begins at 1pm.

Murray will take on David Goffin of Belgium, as he looks to secure a comfortable place in the second round.

2011 champion and world no.1 Novak Djokovic will begin his quest for a seventh career Grand Slam in the final match of the day on Centre Court.

He takes on unseeded Andrey Golubev of Kazakhstan.

Women's world no.2 Li Na will follow Murray on the main stage.

Elsehwere, Victoria Azarenka opens up the action on the No.1 Court at 1pm. Men's competition outsiders Grigor Dimitrov and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will also take to the court later in the day.

2010 finalist Tomas Berdych opens No.2 Court, while David Ferrer headlines No.3's schedule.
