Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after being involved in a major car accident in Charlotte. Newton's truck was overturned, and he was loaded onto a stretcher according to the Charlotte Observer.
The extent of Newton's injuries are unknown, but the Observer snapped a photo of Newton smiling on the ground before he was taken away by an ambulance. NFL players from across the league tweeted prayers for Newton following the accident. Want more stories like this?
