Here's a role she was born to play.

Fast & Furious star Gal Gadot, the former Miss Israel who spent two years as a tough sports trainer in the Israel Defence Forces, has been cast as Wonder Woman in 'Batman Vs. Superman.'

The news about the gorgeous 28-year-old model and actress was announced by DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. on Wednesday.

No doubt her army training will stand her in good stead in the movie that stars Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman in the 'Man of Steel' sequel from director Zack Snyder.

Amy Adams will reprise her role as Lois Lane, with Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane already announced for the sequel.

'Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe,' Snyder said in the release.

'Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role.

'We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.'

The beautiful brunette appeared in the three most recent 'Fast & Furious' movies but is not listed in the cast for 'Fast & Furious 7.'

The movie has suspended filming after the car accident death of star Paul Walker last week.

The mother-of-one has also had small parts in 'Date Night' and 'Knight and Day.'

Gal, a statuesque 5 ft 9 inches tall, married Israeli businessman Yaron Versano during the filming of Fast & Furious in September 2008. Their baby girl Alma was born in November 2011.
