The biggest curling event of the year kicked off in Winnipeg on Sunday with an air of excitement.
Roar of the Rings slid into action at MTS Centre with movie star, Will Farrell, otherwise known as Ron Burgundy, as a guest commentator.
"Winnipeg is the Paris of Canada," he said in a media scrum.
Burgundy threw a couple rocks and bragged about his knowledge in curling, yet his skills could use some practice.
Fans were thrilled to see the Anchorman, many yelling his name as his walked on the ice to address the crowd before the first draw.
