OKLAHOMA CITY - It's Black Friday and some eager shoppers have been hitting the stores as early as Thanksgiving night, searching for the best deals for the holidays.

Our crews went to stores all over the metro and despite a few lines here and there, some folks said it was a relaxing Black Friday.

Some shoppers think it's because stores have extended their hours, starting sales on Thanksgiving.

'They're spreading out the time that they have specials across the week and they're also spreading out the products,' said shopper Hans Schroeder.

There were those who still had to wait for bargains.

At Game Stop, the lines went around the building.

People shuffled in for deals on x-box, headsets, and games.

At Old Navy, their sales began on Thanksgiving, with 50% off the entire store.

'I have my own little notebook and I put down what we want to buy at each store and what we want to get. Yes, there's a lot of planning that goes into it,' said shopper Deborah Goad.

Of course, some shoppers can't help but look back at some Black Friday horror stories.

'Last year, one person in our group got choked in the mall. Yes, we had to give her the Heimlich. The year before that, a person got ran over in Walmart by a cart,' said Tosia Maples.

Luckily, our crews didn't run into anything dangerous, just happy shoppers.

Don't forget Saturday is 'Small Business Saturday' a great way for Oklahomans to shop local and get some discounts.
