According to the magazine's editorial director Mickey Boardman, it was Kim's idea to reveal all.
'Kim's attitude was 'if we're gonna do it, let's really go there. And it was her idea to take off her clothes and show more than her butt. But we [Paper] didn't say 'let's do a cover with your butt hanging out.'
'She said she was willing to take her clothes off and one thing lead to another,' he told Yahoo Style.

Meanwhile, memes of her much-talked about cover photo have dominated Twitter and gossip blogs.
Her makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic, who was responsible for creating the look seen on the pages of Paper Magazine rubbished claims that her behind was Photoshopped.
'Just oil and great lighting,' he told E! News. 'The makeup was actually really quick. It took about 20 minutes because the hair took so long.'
'We just wanted to make her look beautiful and herself,' he explained. 'We did simple creative: Nude lip with a liquid liner.'
'Kim will continue to do sexy shoots as long as she's in shape,' an insider added. 'Kanye loves it.'
