The power is out in some areas of Grand Falls-Windsor at this hour.
According to information on the Newfoundland Power website www.newfoundlandpower.com the power outage is due to system problems.
Areas affected are: Cromer Avenue, Snow Crescent, Forest Road, Thirteenth Avenue, Brooks Ave., Duggan Street, Main Street, King Street, Brown Ave., Bayley Street, Earle Street, Pinsent Drive, Harris Ave. Hardy Ave. and Queensway Industrial Park.
The power is also out in the Gander-Glenwood-Twillingate and New Wes Valley areas.
In Gander, the areas affected at this moment are Byrd Ave., Airport Boulevard, Rickenbacker Road, Morgan Drive, Memorial Drive, Edinburgh Road, Tilley Place, Yeager Street, Johnson Crescent, Blackwood Drive and Sacchi Ave.
Newfoundland Power estimates power to be restored in the Gander area by 5 p.m. today, and by 5:30 p.m. in Grand Falls-Windsor.
