Leeds City Council has been forced to apologise after Bruce Springsteen's entourage were handed parking tickets prior to his gig in Leeds last night (July 24).Springsteen became the first artists to perform live at Leeds Arena last night but his status didn't prevent authorities issuing trucks carrying his equipment with tickets after they were discovered parked illegally on a sidestreet near the venue. BBC News reports that Leeds City Council have since apologised and revoked the tickets as well as opening an inquiry into what happened. Keith Wakefield, Labour leader of Leeds Council, said: "It was somebody being a little bit stupid and zealous. It is an awareness thing. The lorries are supposed to park offsite and then be called into the arena." Springsteen's Leeds gig was part of his current world tour which includes a number of stops around the UK. The Boss and his E Street Band started a gig in London in June with a number of songs from 1982 album 'Nebraska' before stopping to announce they would be performing 1984 album'Born In The USA' in its entirety. This followed similar performances at Wembley Stadium and Coventry's Ricoh Arena, where the New Jersey artist performed 'Darkness On The Edge Of Town' and 'Born To Run' respectively.
