X FACTOR judge Louis Walsh is on a collision course with show bosses - after turning up so late for arena auditions that they had to start WITHOUT him.Filming was held up for half an hour on Wednesday before frantic producers on the ITV show decided to go ahead with Louis missing from the panel.
It was then another 30 minutes before Louis turned up to take his place alongside fellow panellists Sharon Osbourne, Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger.
A show source said last night: "Louis always used to be the first to arrive for the show but recently he has been later and later.
"Now he tends to be the last judge to arrive and, on Wednesday we had to start filming without him because he was running so late.
"He was still in his hotel when the other judges were at the studio, so producers pushed back the schedule by half an hour. But he still wasn't there.
"The whole team were tearing their hair out but there were 40 hopefuls due to audition that day, so they had no choice but to start with an empty seat.
"Luckily the other three judges saw the funny side. But people have remarked that it does seem that the show has now slipped down Louis' list of priorities." Only last Monday the former Westlife boss had joined co-stars Nicole, Gary and old pal Sharon on the red carpet as X Factor's arena auditions began in Wembley, north London.
They kicked off in dramatic style as one wannabe went berserk on stage and smashed the judges' water glasses.
But the hopeful was just copying Gary's example - after the Take That star had tried to motivate the singer in the previous auditions round by smashing up the set.
Viewers can expect more fireworks on the panel with the return of Sharon, who famously lobbed a glass of water over Louis during during the show's 2005 run.
Speaking last week about her comeback, she said Simon Cowell had asked her back because she is "the best" - and because she offered to perform a SEX ACT on him.
Sharon, who decided to return to the show after dinner with Simon in March, said: "I am the best - it is the truth."
She joked: "I said: 'If I suck your d*** can I get the job?' And he said: 'Of course.' It was very simple."
